Default Kriss Vector question

I traded into a Kriss Vector in .45 ACP several months ago and have shot it a few times. Mine is the SBR version and I’d like to install a barrel shroud on it so I can use the shoulder brace without having to get the NFA tax stamp. My question is: can the barrel shroud be installed on the SBR version or can the barrel be lengthened with a screw on extension so the barrel shroud can be installed? I eventually want to get the tax stamp and a can for it, but in the meantime, I’d like to be able to take it to the range and shoulder it for target practice.
