Looks like a factory for future trouble makers . On a lighter note , anyone 55 or older can probably remember doing the same thing .

OMG, as people like to text today.

I immediately shared this with several former colleagues in the teaching profession.

When I was in the first three grades of school in the hills of North Carolina we would put on the Thanksgiving play for the school (grades 1-8). It was always something about the Indians and the pilgrims. About a month before the play our teacher would ask "how many of you boys can bring a gun to school"? Those of us who could would raise our hands. The teacher would say "good, you are pilgrims". Try that now.

If something like this were to happen today the school likely would be on lockdown and surrounded by a SWAT team!

In '76 & '77 I was on our high school marksmanship team. We had 10 shooting lanes in an indoor range setup on the third floor of the school building. We used .22LR bolt action target rifles from the Civilian Marksmanship Program. Them were good times.

We had guns in our cars at school all the time in order to hunt or target shoot before of after classes. For speech class I once brought a Remington 870 and did a talk on it and its features.

We also were allowed to use the 50 foot indoor range with our own .22 rifles when the ROTC Rifle Team wasn't practicing. In ROTC we are also issued functional M14 rifles, with "da switch".

You were practically naked if you didn't have a Buck 110 on your belt.

Guns, knives, oh the humanity! It is a wonder that we survived High School in that environment

That looks a little like the 3 room school house where I went to school.

They had 1-6 grades there, 2 grades to a room. SE Arizona, 1961. Picture was taken around 2015. There's a new school near this one with a bank of solar panels.
