I never liked Glocks because they did't fit my hand so I shot poorly with them. However the single stack 43 is a whole different thing. My question is will a 43x fit in a loose pants pocket or should I stick to the 43. I like the extra rds with the x but pocket carry is my main carry now.

Have to say - also not a big Glock Fan-
But was looking at the 43 down at Cabalas.
It would work for me!

Fired one last year. Was amazed at the trigger. pretty decent even though I like my CS-9 better.

I’d think you’d need big pockets to fit the 43x. I have very few pants that work with even the 43.

I am not a Glock fan, I much prefer the 1911 platform or a nice solid revolver. I do see a G17 in my future for GSSF matches, though. I have looked at the G43, but I couldn't bring myself to buy one.

My take on the G43X is that it isn't a pocket pistol, but more a neutered G19 that got caught in the rain and shrunk. A G43 is a more realistic pocket carry pistol. Consider a Pearce G43 +1 magazine extension, which gives you a full magazine of 7 plus one in the chamber.

Unless you are using Cargo Pants/Shorts for pocket carry, I believe the grip of the 43X would have a tendency to get hung up in a regular 'slash' pocket during presentation, so for pocket carry, go G43.

Never carry a Glock just loose in a pocket, must be in a pocket holster. That may not be the OP's intent, just wanted to warn against loose pocket transport.

If anyone has both, can you post a side by side comparison. I would like to see, as I'm interested in both pistols....

Have you looked at the G26 ? Would work for a pocket pistol in some pants, and has the 10 round mag. It will also take a 15 or 17 round mag from a G19 or G17 as a backup. The Glock 43 will not accept G19 or G17 mags.

One thing I never liked Glockwise is the grip.
It just never felt right to me.
So the short version feels even worse!
But when I wrap my paw around the 43, Oh Yeahl
A Glock I can live with.
Yes Mother, I will pocket carry in a holster.
Safety First!

I'd highly recommend that you look to the Sig P365 if you are seriously looking at the Glock 43. The P365 is smaller, has a smoother trigger, holds more rounds, and comes standard with night sights.

The 43x would be pretty tough to fit in a pocket.

I was just going to suggest the same. Forget the Glock and go shoot a P365. I liked mine so much I bought another. Whats not to like about 10 or 12 rounds same size and better trigger. Just pointing out another option

Always pocket carry with a pocket holster in a pocket with nothing else in it. Thats my rule even if the gun has a safety.

one thing that is important to Me is the fact that all my fingers will fit on the grip. Don't like the little finger hanging off. Never held a 365 and wonder if I can get all my fingers on the grip

If you can get an acceptable grip on a Glock 43 you should be just fine with the P365 as the length of the grip are nearly identical.

I wear regular fit boot cut blue jeans about 95% of the time and a LCP II .380 is about the biggest thing I can carry in a pocket. Appendix carry for anything slightly bigger and right hip carry for standard size guns.

Yeah... I've found that in order to Front pocket carry a G43 or Shield, I needed to move to 'Relaxed Fit' Wranglers. [Shrug]
and yes... In a Galco Pocket Protector holster.
