南部拳銃 .22!
Here is my .22 caliber Nambu!
Got these Nambu tribute grips from eBay for my Ruger Mk IV. As you may or may not know, the classic Japanese WWII handgun Nambu Type-14 was design basis for the original Ruger .22 pistols. These grips are a nice retro throwback and give the gun a nice sort of milsurp look and feel, especially with the taper Pencil Barrel and irons.
Thanks!
-Jay

Cool looking grips.
I remember when these and the Stoeger 22 Luger were advertised in Popular Mechanics and other "guy" magazines in the early 70's.
IIRC those ads talked about Luger-like styling and a grip angle meant to match that of the 1911.
Of course my memory isn't as reliable as it used to be

There were some pot-metal and cloissonee Honda badges that fit perfectly in the recesses on the tank of my /5 BMW. No lettering, just the Honda wing logo. They looked like they belonged there.
BMW purists were annoyed by them. Most people didn’t notice or saw them for what they were. But if I pulled up where a bunch of Harleys were parked, there was always that one lunkhead: “I didn’t know Honda made one of those.”
“It was a pre-Gold Wing prototype.” You can still see that same gullibility today.

Great Idea; amazing how a pair of Nambu grips change the look. Did they require much retrofitting the screw locations ?

One must be careful about Ruger grips. The early frames (Standard Model and Mk I) had a different grip screw spacing than the later frames.

I looked at the Ebay Nambu tribute grips and they will only fit
MKIV model ...nothing else .
So MKIV grips must not interchange with any of the other MK's , I, II, III or standard .
Good heads up !
Gotta watch what you buy for sure !

The guy also sells Mk II and III grips. I got the one with “antique finish” and they installed great, no trimming needed.

Oh no! Now you have to shop for a Samurai sword to go with it.
Woud a Standard Auto would fit in a reproduction Nambu holster?
The grips look cool.
