LGS Find Bargain? - More Pics Added
Found a Ruger Bisley Stainless 41 Magnum at the LGS last weekend. 2003 production, in case with everything. LNIB. Ask was $659.
Asked them to hold it for me, as I wanted to trade something against it.
Traded a current production 41Mag Blue New Blackhawk against it.
Net difference $200 plus tax and transfer.
Fair trade both ways.
For curiosity I checked the big gun auction site.
1200 and 1400???
Either I got the deal of the year or some sellers are delusional.
Either way I'm happy

I'd say delusional sellers. Take a look at actual closed auction that sold and you'll find them a good bit lower.

I'm VERY happy
I looked at the closed auctions on GB and the lowest was $850, and that was a newer gun w/o the old medallion grips (SR vs. just R of current production). Plus the seller screwed up. If he had is start higher he would have gotten it, as most other guns went for about 950 and up.
I like older Rugers, and this one fit the bill at a great price point.
For as ****** of a dumpster fire 2020 has been, I have scored some good gun deals.

Nice Bisley you got there. Sounds like you got a fair deal to me. I am not really up on post China Virus pricing, but a modern Ruger factory SA for $1200 is nuts, and there are plenty out there for more fair pricing.
I have owned a couple, and my favorite, a 7 1/2 inch Bisley SBH is a treat to fire with heavy loads.

Delusional probably, but since you're a member of GB you can go into their "completed" auctions and see what they are actually bringing. Maybe that's a very special model or rare Ruger?

I checked, nothing special. Just regular production Bisleys. One sold for 850. The rest at 950 or higher. The highest standard one 1241. I didn't count the Bisley Hunter, different animal.
Crazy.

I’d say you did somewhere between well and very well!
Beautiful gun in that configuration, please feel free to share more pics.

I have one of those in .45 Colt, inherited from my brother with lots of handloads, mostly target loads, but some hot.
Fun to shoot outdoors. I love Bisley Rugers.
