Default OKAY Winchester guys: ????? on Model 68(pic added 11-15)

I've had several 67s and 69s over the years. only have one 69 now. it is a single shot just like the 67 but has a peep sight where the rear sight normally is. I added a pic of the front sight. left side is marked U.S. Pat 1989883. thanks in advance for any additional info. Lee

I don't see how that's useful so far from the eye. I've seen peeps mounted farther back.

The 68 is the target version of the 67.. the rear sight is correct.

According to Stroebel's book "Old Gunsights" Winchester called that rear sight a Number 96A for the Model 68 Winchester rifle.

That is the correct front sight too. There was a hood available but most are missing..
