Default Levers and ghost rings

I have a set on my Marlin Guide gun and really like them. It’s a strictly close range gun so it works well.
I have a Winchester 94 that I’m considering putting a set on. It’s not long range either but 150-175 yds works with the 30-30.
I don’t know if they’d be good at the longer ranges though.
They’re fast and accurate within 100yds.
I realize that vision matters here but does anyone like them over 100yds?

Personally, I'm not good enough (not are my eyes good enough) for taking shots on game much over 100 yards with ANY metallic sight, so I can't say for sure. My two hunting lever guns both wear aperture sights (Williams on my Marlin .44 and a Lyman on my Model 71 Winchester), but they are not of the ghost ring variety. My apertures are fairly large, though. Small apertures are impossible for me in the woods or in dim light.

I am sure you already know this, but one can just remove the aperture from the sight and use it as a ghost ring. I have a Skinner site on my Marlin 44 mag and the rear site blank came with a tapped hole to store the aperture in. Works pretty well.
