Well I sold my S&W 60 about a yr ago to a forum member.
Just wondering if anyone knows much about the new Taurus G3C
in 9mm?
My friend in Fl. tells me for $259.00 & (3) 12 round mags nothing compares. He claims no problems & says Taurus has become amazingly reliable now that they are made in FL and or Ga. Not sure. Thanks.

This is not a real good place to ask about Taurus because we have some who really don't want anything to do with them. We have a few like me who own some and like them. I have had a Model 85 for years with no problems and 2(if I can find one of them)G2C's that have given me no problems. Maybe someone with a G3C will come along.
Glad you are a Forum and NRA Member. Welcome!

I've never owned a Taurus but I have heard a lot of great things about the G2 and G3 as well as the TX-22. While I recognize many folks have had bad experiences in the past, but it appears a though things are improving at Taurus. Maybe it is the production move, no clue but a lot of their new products have been well received.

Don’t own one but it’s one I’m considering. All the YouTube reviews I’ve watch have been very positive.

Thanks guys. Yes, I just watched a you-tube review from Hickok45..who I value his reviews as and he is probably one of the best "shots" on the net. What caught me eye was ...the "price" the capacity (12) and the mags (3). And several videos claim this Pistol will eat any kind of ammo.

I also watched some torture tests, quite amazing..in mud, sand etc.
I also read one of the reasons the quality has improved is because ..i read where a Pro NRA shooter is now either a Board member or head of quality control. Not totally sure of this .

I got a chance to get (2) of them new in box for like..$500.
one is a (G2c) (2 mags) and a G3c (3 mags). I thought I might get them and keep one. I know they are scarce in my area.
. Actually I am waiting for my friend to sell me back my Sig P226 West German (NIB) or my (NIB) 39-2 . Could be a long wait. Lol!!!!!!!

If I ever actually find one in stock in my area I plan on giving that model a try. They sell so quick it's like trying to buy a freezer right now, you almost have to be there when they are delivered.

Reviews have been very positive on the G3C. If my G2C wasn't so dang reliable and shootable, I'd trade it on one. They are essentially Glock19 clones with a safety, and I prefer shooting the G2C to my G19.

I don't have one, but I have read plenty of reviews on the G2 and G3 Tauruses. The reviews indicate reasonable accuracy and outstanding reliability, especially with the G3's. Hard to ask for more in a defensive handgun. One selling point the Taurus has that most other striker fired pistols cannot claim is second strike capability. Should a round fail to fire, the Taurus pistols allow for a full, double action second attempt to fire the round in the chamber. Not sure how important that is, but it's a nice feature.

I have the G2C with a few upgrades. Aside from a somewhat notchy initial trigger pull (the re-set trigger is fine), I have had no issues and have no complaints.

I have a PT111 G2... have had it for a long time.. no ammo issues ever.. in my carry rotation without hesitation... as a perk... sig P226 magazines work too... great lil gun for under $300

I bought a G3C a couple weeks ago. I’d sold a pistol and had cash in my pocket when I stopped into Rural King. I was kind of surprised that they had the G3 and G3S in stock in light of the current panic. I bought the G3S and 2 boxes of ammunition for $308 OTD. The fact they include 3 mags is a big plus.
I have not shot mine yet due to my work schedule, the weather and my laziness :). I’m off this coming week so hopefully I’ll get some range time in if the weather cooperates.
From what I’ve read these are a real game changer.
Reviews are positive for the vast majority aside from the usual bashing of the brand in general or those mixing up predecessors in the platform to the latest iteration.
The only complaint I’ve heard is the long trigger pull. My trigger pull is long but the pull is at a lower weight until you hit the shelf. The the pull increases and you know she’s ready to pop. Not an issue for me. Sort of like a DA revolver trigger stacking. Remember these are personal protection not “target”pistols.
I’ll check in once I burn some ammo through it. For now at least, I have high hopes.

My son in law gave me a Taurus 9mm plastic frame auto some years back, 100 Rds shot all with no troubles. Ive owned their BDA copy and 92 copy years ago (20+) all worked fine.

It’s everything your friend says and more. You’ll love it❣️

Thanks for all the input guys! I am now thinking getting the G3C..I see my Rural King may have a few in stock for $259.95 in 9mm with the (3) mags. But I am betting they will be sold out as their website inventory is
never correct. Seems I constantly call to no avail.

I think I read where this Pistol is available in .40 cal also.No interest in that for me. It appears Rural King may have the "best prices" on guns & ammo anywhere I have seen. I do know one has to be early and in person to even get any ammo there let alone a gun. At least at the one here in Front Royal, Va.

Buying a hand gun there is hit & miss..the have great prices..but I get different stories each time I call about inventory. Last night their website
showed (60) boxes of Blazer 9mm. I called and they told me it would be on shelf till this am. They open at 7am. I called at 7:30am and they told me "no" out of stock, I said "website shows 60 boxes". Then they tell me website is incorrect? I realize they only allow each customer to buy (2). But the "run around" is so frustrating.

And to boot I live 25 minutes from Rural King. But its all about supply & demand in these "crazy" times. I may just have to get a j-frame and wait on a semi else where. Those (2) I mentioned last nite for $500. got sold this am.. my friend just told me. It figures.

I had a G2. It shot too loose for my tolerances with 500-600 rounds and I let it go. No real regrets, A Kahr CM 40 replaced it with nothing but smiles and good targets.

not a Taurus fan, BUT, I traded for a Taurus .357 mag with a 6 inch ported barrel and believe it is the smoothest shooting .357 I ever fired.

Still a Taurus....
