Scratch one from my list - Ruger Single Six
I had an opportunity to pick up a Ruger Single Six recently. A Single Six has been on my want list for years, albeit not necessarily priority. I already have a few other single action .22LR revolvers which is why I never seemed to fork out the dough for Single Six, but I've always kept my eye out just in case.
This one is a new in the box and unfired 50th Anniversary model from 2003. It was in a collection that was being liquidated at an estate sale in a neighboring county and I rode over with a buddy of mine to look at some tractor implements that were being auctioned off. While looking around I just happened to stumble onto a few firearms being sold off as well so I bid on this one and won. My buddy picked up a nice Remington 1100 too, so we came home with two guns and no tractor implements.
Interestingly, the Single Six also came with the 2003 Ruger Catalog that I found an interesting read.
The bottom picture is some of my other single actions in .22 rimfire that I've acquired through the years, including a new Ruger Wrangler. I can't wait to do a side by side shooting comparison between the Wrangler and Single Six.

I think the Single Six will win out over the Wrangler too based on the Single Sixes that I've shot, but do like my new Wrangler.

Beautiful single six. I've always been on the lookout for a Single Ten but stumbled into a Wrangler. I pick mine up this week from the FFL. It won't have that gorgeous blued finish but she will hopefully shoot well.

That is a beautiful Single-Six. I have a Single-Ten that I really enjoy. Keep us posted on your comparison of your Single-Six and Wrangler.

That's a nice one. I've had several of the single-Sixs, and will look forward to your test vs. the Wrangler. Wouldn't surprise me if there was no significant difference in performance. Looks though, big difference IMHO

I have a old single six that Cabelas's had used for $295 a few years back since it was :missing" the 22 mag cylinder that it turns out that it never had,. Fun to shoot, but the loading gate takes more patience than the roll out cylinders.

I recently picked one up for my kid but it was used (lightly) and no box. Thank goodness I have plenty of socks.

No collection is complete without a Single-Six. Mine is a 5.5" stainless convertible.

The Old Model Super Single Six was my first handgun, purchased used at age 12 for $60.00.
Those were different times for sure! A great handgun. Ive just recently purchased two more to replace that first one i foolishly sold while in college.
Need to get at least one .22 mag cylinder.

My first six gun that I bought myself, still one of my favorites. Looking forward to a comparison range test!

I picked up a Cabela's 50th Anniversary Single Six .22LR with a 5.5 inch barrel back in 2009. I have a blast plinking cans with it.

My very first handgun was a Super Single Six stainless with a 6 1/2 barrel that I got from Edelman's Sporting Goods in Newtown Square, PA. I bought it in the late 1970s or early 1980s. I got it new in the box and I still have it.

Funny how that happens. My wife is starting to think guns are tractor implements.
Nice single six! I love mine one of which is a 17 HMR.

I had one of Rugers just like yours and sold it , I just looked at another at a gun shop for 425 with the box . and I found another at another shop not long ago but it was sold . I did not buy another 5.5 anniversary when I found one because I stumbled on to a old model 4/58 barrel 3 screw mint like new no box for like 319 I jumped on it , also a Lipsey stainless 4/58 , no warning . They are great guns .

OP: That's a very nice snag of a popular SA, and the accessories too!
I got mine way back and it has always been a family favorite, especially when paired with a Galco western open top holster and gunbelt...a great "cowboy rig" for the grandkids and adults alike to enjoy.
Mine also came from an estate sale, but when I went to look up the Model number (AS 0627) it couldn't be found in any Ruger literature. I finally found (because for the stainless and 4-5/8" bbl) that it was a Lipsey's exclusive for 2002. It was known then by the moniker "Super Single Six - Convertible".
I'm also happy to see your pic of the case and accessories, everything looks the same as mine and answers a question I've had for ages. I always thought the extra 22 WMR cylinder was packed in a small drawstring "velvet" bag, but I see yours is loose and probably rattles around in the case same as mine
Now I can give my wife back her small drawstring red velvet pouch that she had some jewelry in years ago.
Enjoy that gun......I know my family sure does and the extra little "bark" from the WMR's is fun too. I found the sights are tall and proud and can get right decently on target be it paper, spinners or small game afield.

Actually, the extra cylinder was wrapped in a small bubble-wrap bag so that it wasn't rattling around in the case. The Single Six was wrapped as well. But you're right, there was no velvet bag.

My first handgun purchase way back in 1984ish was the Single Six. I thought it interesting the way Ruger named it; The Ruger New Model Super Single Six. Yikes, that's a mouthful...
Still have it and it's still my favorite .22 pistol.

Single Six Old Model was the first gun I bought for myself in 1967-8, don't remember exact date. Had the mag. cylinder and a Hunter brand holster and belt.
Cost me $50.00 !!!
I got paid $2.00 to load and unload firewood that my dad cut and sold.....lots of firewood to buy that one.............
shot a mountain of rounds through it, still have it and it is still in Old Model configuration.
I even shot 2 whitetail does with .22 magnum. Distance was about 12 yards. One shot is all it took.
