A couple years back I had a nickel .38 cylinder rebored to .44 Special for my Colt Centennial .44-40 (historically correct stamped Colt Frontier Sixshooter) of 1975 vintage and finally shot it. I only had a handful of old reloads using a very heavy .429 lead SWC bullet most likely over 7.5 grains of Unique. Point of aim was lower on the target. Front sight regulated for 200 grain bullets. I'll try reloading the last of the lighter 215 grain SWCs I have left next time hoping it does better. 15 yards from a rest. This is a real fun gun to shoot and very eye catching on the range among all the polymer semi autos.
