If someone can come up with a Russian Tokarev pistol with Finnish capture marks I'd certainly be interested.

In the early 90’s I actually owned two of my “grail guns,” an H&K P7M13 9mm and a nickel H&K P7M10 40 cal. I briefly carried the P7M13 as my duty weapon and was going to carry the P7M10 but couldn’t find any spare mags.
I will say that H&K P7M13 was the most accurate pistol I ever shot , ever. The operating system was just too unique for me though, especially if interested in carrying other semiauto pistols like Sigs and Glocks which I eventually did carry for most of my career.
I traded that H&K P7M13 for a then brand new Sig P229 and 500 rounds of 40 cal ammo! I sold that nickel P7M10 for $1400. This was all back in the early to mid 90’s. When I see what they go for now, I almost wanna cry! Would love to have that P7M13 back.

Although I have already obtained it, I also feel obligated to post my Heckler & Koch USP45 Elite.
This was my last grail gun. I've wanted one since 2018, but due to their rarity and cost (H&K only makes these in small batches and only imports only a small fraction of said batch) I couldn't find nor afford one until earlier this year when the Biden Bucks rolled in. I was actually shopping for a Smith & Wesson 629 at the time, but they were all sold out, so I figured what the heck and decided to see if I could find a USP45 Elite anywhere online. Not only did I obviously find one, but I found one at a killer price; $1050 when they were going for closer to $1500!
Not only do I dig the aesthetics of this gun which reminds me of an oversized Walther PP with a more modern design, but this sucker can handle .45 Super right out of the box sans modifications. Sure, it's no LAR Grizzly in .45 WinMag, but it's a powerful pistol in its own right.

That's true. But $3500 is alot of money for a pistol. It's alot of money for 3 pistols. One of these days I'll win 10K on a scratch off or something. Until then, I'll just have to abide.

Been there, done that (a few times, LOL) in the early 90's when they were still somewhat affordable. The prices they bring now are insane.

That used to be one of my grails. I passed on several of those ex-military imports when they were less than four-figures....alas. However, the great news is that the USA made guns are better shooters, and far more cost-effective. I am holding out for the 'Carry' version...hoping it will enter the marked before I am too old to shoot anymore.....

Thought I'd tease you a bit...
1932 Sportsman 199 Single Action. The SA variants didn't resume production after WW2. A VERY accurate, trim popper.
One of my favorites for just walking in a field at the farm and plinking.

I'll add my wish to the other Sig P210 comments. I think I'd actually prefer the current American Target version. I've held one, but not fired it and my hand said: "Mmmmm!".

US&S 1911. Had an opportunity a few years back at $3,500 or so if I recall correctly, just had another interest that day (gave my word I'd buy a gun and met seller at local gun show and in it walks...).
From the collectors in my area that I know of, it has resold twice and the current price is $6K. Not sure if it is worth that to me, but I just enjoyed the history and the variant...we'll see.

I just bought it and I couldn't be more pleased, Sig P320 X Carry. It is different from the Army's M17/18 in that it has a very good flat trigger, full grip, short barrel and the grip module is shaped different. At my size, 132 lbs, this is not a carry gun for me, too big. The Sig P365 serves that role.

I would love to have a 4" .455 Webley Mark V
As long as I'm at it, one of the Spanish Break-tops England contracted for in WWI, in .455 naturally.

Y'know, I've had a lot of guns over the years and I've owned at one time or another most that interested me. Lugers, Broomhandles, early automatics both US and Euro but...one I've never been able to afford but would LOVE to play with is a Webley-Fosberry. The 7" target model to be specific. Doubt that's ever going to be doable but...you asked.

.357magger, do you ever get to eastern NC? I’d let you shoot my Fosbery. They are so cool. I shot a W-F eons ago at a WASA match in W Va. A competitor and I started talking guns and my interest in Webleys came up, he offered to let me fire his that he had in his truck, you know I said ‘you better believe it.’ Came in first place in self loader category but the Fosbery was as neat as the win. Only took me 30 odd years befoe I got my own.

Civil War Lemat revolver, and/or a WW2 "Liberator". But each would have to be functional....I love cool old firearms, I have more than a couple, but I don't own a single firearm I won't take out and shoot.

I bought it with the idea of rebarreling it to 45/70 but it shot so good with cast bullets and it was a beautiful rifle. Recently I’ve been dealing with chemotherapy and I have a port near my right shoulder and I shoot rifles right handed. Last week I traded it for a new Colt stainless Gold Cup! I hated to get rid of it but it went to a good home!

German FG42 from WW2, the paratrooper rifle.
I also would really like to own a Korth and Manhurin revolver.

I think most people, on this forum at least, look at that as anything not a Smith and Wesson.
Actually, the OP said "not a Smith and Wesson, Colt, or Ruger."

Exactly. Not to mean any of the others are smaller or lesser, just that they're not one of the American big 3. Just as Ford, GM and Chrysler aren't bigger or greater than Toyota or Volkswagon.

I wouldn't mind finding an H&R 676 or similar model. Used to have one. Still miss it. It had the best DA trigger pull.

For LE and the security business in Vegas, "off-brand" means anything that doesn't have Glock on it.

Can't really think of a "Grail Gun" that I have in my pea-pickin' brain housing group. The only handgun that I can think of that I would like to own is either a Star Model 28 or Model 30. Had a 28 and foolishly sold it quite a few years ago.

if we are talking post lottery winning, an M2, and if it is a $500million powerball, make it a twin mount in a ball turret. then just for fun, an m3.

I had to think about this one. Definitely would be a short cylinder BFR, the long ones don’t interest me much. I would probably want a short barrel 44 mag. I saw one once in a gun shop but I walked away and never seen another.
I had once considered a 500 JRH but the lack of property headstamped brass was a turn off.

Someday, I would like a good shooter 9mm Luger, but for as often as I would shoot it for fear of busting the frame, I may as well put a picture of one in my safe.

Tough call, so many nice guns out there, for me either the new Manhirn 73 in 357 with a 5.25 inch barrel or a 1911 in 38 special midrange wadcutter made by a gunsmith I know.

Same here. I lust for an older Sig P210. I recently bought one of the new ones. It's so good, I can only imagine how good an early one would be.

Eons ago I was an "early adopter" of Dan Wesson revolvers when the gun snobs still had their noses in the air about them.
I started with the .357 that I bought at Walmart for $150! Next I sold a kidney to obtain the then brand new .44 magnum version with 6" barrel which I subsequently used to compete in Hunter class silhouette with great success!
When I started moving toward autoloaders - back when they weren't at all common, I traded that wonderful Dan Wesson to a guy for a Commercial Colt model 1911 and thought I'd gotten the deal of the century! If only we could know at the time, what we know 40 years later!
The Dan Wesson didn't have better lock work than S&W, but they had that user-removable/adjustable barrel! I worked up a host of handloads for mine and developed the technique of setting the barrel gap by screwing it down on the cylinder, then backing off a half turn for minimum cylinder gap which was perfectly fine for the slow rate of fire (heat buildup) in shooting silhouette.

Have never owned a Luger... The only one I want is an Artillery... Collector friend who had a BIG collection had an unfired STOGER that was just beyond words...
One day I'll find a good shooter grade gun...

Down in my safe is a 1916 made Luger (9mm) without the wood stock or holster. I wish it was mine but I have it for doing some work (cleaning and refinish) on it and some other firearms. It goes back to the owner in a couple of months when he returns from overseas.
I'd love to put it in my safe as mine. If you really want a Lugar be very carefull which model and make date you get. A good friend had one he couldn't make shoot reliably in the 10 some years he owned it. It was made in the late thirties or early forties. Likely sabotaged by the slave labor.

Have owned several Lugers. Most were pretty accurate. Their drawback to me was the trigger pull, It was heavy, and no spare parts in case you screwed up something trying to do a trigger job.

Well of those "requested" I have an original Inglis Highpower (Mk 2), a Colt 1903 in 0.32, an 1899 Mauser Broom handle and an uncut Webley Mk VI in 0.455 but not military, one of the last commercial blued guns sold around 1937 and a 1918 Luger in 9 mm. Dave_n

Since someone asked, a Freedom Arms Model 97 in stainless, caliber .44 Special, 5 inch barrel, fully adjustable rear sight, red bead front sight, sanbar stags - and at least a case of Skeeter's load with 7.5 U/429421. (Oh, and a straight drop LH EPS Three Persons, basket weave...)
