Or "Am I Spending Too much Time On Youtube?". "Solution Looking For A Problem?". etc.

I do like the 45 deg offset on the foregrip as did my Afghan war Veteran neighbor. It's a Crimson Trace light/laser combo grip mounted with a pair of GG&G 45 deg offset mounts. Got the idea from my hammer drill. The Jeff Cooper style 4X Leupold pistol scope, the 45 deg offset Magpul folding sights and 45 deg offset Leupold red dot are maybe a little too out-of-the-box thinking. Oh and the upper is one solid piece so the scope should be stable enough up front like that.

The rifle is a LMT that came as a 224 val and has a 16" 6.8 spc barrel installed.

A friend of mine bought an AR. He immediately became aware of all the "available add-ons." After a flashlight, green laser, side angle sights and a red dot were added he told me: "Joe, my rifle is too heavy!" I told him to add a bayonet, lunch box, walkie talkie, compass and a first aid kit if he wanted to be a genuine "special operator." Joe

Sport1 all stock exceptfor scope, triigger and charging handle are only changes. That`s all it needs. Very satisfied.

What ever floats your boat I guess.

I like mine clean and simple.

I've seen 'em at the range. Guys will turn a handy 6.5 pound carbine into a ten pound behemoth that takes 3 different kinds of batteries.

I ran a carry handle on the 6920 until my eyes demanded a red dot. It's box-stock.

But that's just me.

My AR Setup—Too Complex?

Yessir, way over the top.

I agree, it's your gun, if you're having fun with it then do what you want.

But what do you plan to do with it with all of that *** hanging off of it?

Here are two examples of everything you need, nothing you don't:

Bushmaster X15 ES2

Basic rifle, nothing fancy, not equipped with sights, came with that red dot and it's more than sufficient; the rifle is dead on:

STAG 15

Completely basic rifle, with the carrying handle, seriously high quality, equal to virtually anything out there, Colts included. Nothing hanging off from it, straight out of the box, ready to fight, or chase feral hogs (to be preferred over fighting).

Lightweight pig guns, equally available for fighting but that's for movie heroes, and my brothers and sisters still under arms in the war on terror. If you're going inside darkened buildings hunting Tangos you might need some of those accessories - SOME - otherwise, you really need to rethink what that rifle is going to be used for.

My girl likes her Sport I with flip up irons, even at our advanced age...
We tried a few dots and a scope, but she shoots it best the way it came. And still thinks it's too heavy!
