Mine is a 24-3 that was converted to .45 Colt. It's topped with a Burris FastFire 3 sight. Grips are Ahrends made from rosewood I supplied.

Cool or just fun
Heritage rough rider is the weirdest, but one that everyone always wants to shoot.
My Henry golden boy .45-70 is the coolest in my opinion.
The scorpion set up before the whole pistol brace nonsense was the coolest, but not as cool now with no brace or optic on it.

Chinese junk! 
It is amazing that during the time these were readily available and cheap, these were sneered at by many as inferior chicom garbage guns. Same for many other Norinco/Chinese imports.
Not so.
Now decades late these command extreme collectors prices ($$$) and are thought of as some of the highest quality imports ever made.
I feel the Turkish 1911s are treated the same way these days. Many looks at them and think there’s no way they can be any good and are made by a Muslim country so must be bad. But I think in a few years they’re going to go up in value.

The Polytech is my all time favorite, but in the AK groups my Maadi gets the most attention. I paid less than half for it too.

Would rather have a real combat shotgun, than a little fella....... This a USMC M870 Mk1 Combat Shotgun. It has an 8 shot magazine, rifle sights and a bayonet lug. This isn't pretending.

The Chinese SKS rifles are generally considered the most accurate of the breed.

Interesting that this thread got revived, but I like it. I have nothing that I think is that cool, but I do have one that is my own "it's cool".
My 1923 44spl Pre-N model 44 Hand Ejector, factory finish, aftermarket grips (protecting the originals for now). I call it Pops, as it is lettered as shipped 27 years and two days before I did, and I'm 73.

Blue steel, with white plastic grips, European type heel mag release, and a safety. That's about it. Mag holds six rounds and will hurt your fingers loading it if you're not careful. It's not the most reliable gun I've ever owned, but it functions most of the time with Remington Golden Bullet shorts.
What makes it really cool (IMHO) is that it came with a well worn holster. Someone must have carried this little thing. I have a mental image of an old man, leaving his shop at night, going by the bank to make his night drop, with this on his side. I'll bet his family never knew he owned a gun, and found it in his stuff when they cleaned up for the last time. From there it ended up at my LGS where my wife saw it and thought it was "cute."
The finish is worn, the holster is too, and shows evidence of having been repaired. It was clean, but dry, a few drops of oil was all it took to get it back in the game.
I've shot it a few times. At three feet it will make a group you can cover with a quarter. A real "get off me" gun. It will probably be the last gun I ever get rid of. |

Nothing fancy or old, just very, very precise. This was my bullseye gun for 15 years and then I had it converted back to open sights. Built by Mike Curtis just as he left the Marine AMU and started his civilian gun-smithing business. It is just a joy to shoot and therefore, is cool!

1923 Ithaca 12 gauge. 2 1/2 in chambers. Flues model. 30 inch barrels with modified and full. Double trigger.
Made it my turkey gun. About 8 turkeys have bit the dust in just a few years. It’s worn but in great shape
