Picked this up earlier today since I like these quirky items. Very rarely seen one of these "Armscor 45" marked guns, and not in recent memory. It looks like what was also sold here as a Charles Daly "Empire" model. Very good condition, with the exception of some wear on the lower edge of one grip panel and the left edge of the MSH. May replace that, but will first try to smooth it out with some sandpaper and a flat surface. Serial number AP927xxx. My idea is that it's maybe early to mid-2000s, just based on when I think they were produced/imported. Tough to find any real info on that. Anyone with some solid information relative to date this gun might have been produced, or anything else, please let me know.

Don't have any information on it; the first one I have ever seen. Good looking gun. Hope it shoots well. Enjoy it in good health.

Very nice. If they're anything like the later RIA armscor imports you'll have one hell of a shooter.

Good morning, gang
Yes, it's one of ours. OP, if you want to post or PM me the serial number, I'll have Beth look up your gun's details. Also, can you take pictures of the other roll marks.

We make 1911s for many other manufactures, including Citadel and Charles Daly. Armscor is actually the world's largest manufacture of the 1911.

Thanks
Lou

In the picture it shows AP927

There are no other roll marks except the Pahrump NV and API markings on the underside of the dust cover, unless I’m missing something.

I’ll PM you the full serial. Thanks for the offer.

Nice! Are you positive that it is stainless steel or could it be hard chromed carbon steel?

Ordered these Cool Hand grips on Amazon yesterday and they arrived this afternoon. Can’t complain about the shipping time. Not sure if I like the color on this particular gun but the grips themselves are excellent and hard for me to distinguish from a couple “name” brands at about 1/4 the price.

Pretty sure it’s stainless. The mainspring housing I smoothed out with a small sandpaper block was definitely stainless.

Maybe Lou can comment on thiis.

And he has. I stand corrected. Electroless nickel. Interesting. Still a nice finish.

Olivehead, your 1911 was manufactured in 2003 and it's electroless nickel.

This is my RIA 1911 that I carry when I am working at our facility in Marikina, Philippines. I had them e nickel it for corrosion resistance.

I bought a Cimarron nickel .45 that’s a RI gun. A beautiful pistol that doesn’t have the A1 frame scallops which is what I wanted. A nice looking compromise between a 1911 and A1. I replaced the skinny hammer and controls with GI parts. Replaced the grips with buffalo horn. Tons cheaper than a nickel Colt 1911.

I have the blued deluxe version that was made in 2001. The main difference is a fully adjustable rear site. It's also an Armscor, but it was marketed as a Charles Daly under the KBI-HRB parent.

It's a fine shooter and very reliable. It was a good purchase.

I was sorry to see that Daly and KBI went out of business a few years ago. Glad to see that Armscor is still producing...
