Just purchased my first AK the PSAK47 gf3 only other centerfire semi rifle I own is a mini 14 wanted one since I was a kid. Any feedback from owners is appreciated it’s all new territory for me thanks.

I bought two PSA GF3 rifles, and previously had a Gen. 2 version. I got the Gen. 2 used. It had close to 6,000 rounds through it when I let it go and likely has three times that many through it now. It is still humming along.

The two GF3’s don’t have anywhere near that amount of rounds through them. The black rifle was a discounted blem, yet I have not found a mark on it anywhere.

PSA has forums for both their AK and AR rifles.

Common complaints with the GF3 guns are mostly poor accuracy and firing pin/primer shards jams. The AK was not intended to be a Camp Perry contender and PSA seems to respond quickly to firing pin issues.

I am pleased with mine.

Thank you I appreciate it looking forward to getting mine. Mine is also a blem and I’ve heard similar stories of no noticeable blemishes.

Have one of the GF3's in pistol configuration, love it.

It's my travel gun, always in the trunk when traveling outside our typical living zone...

:)

Here's a pic of the config I have, it has a folding arm brace.....

This was a blem kit, purchased in January 2019. I couldn’t find anything wrong with it either.

Just my opinion, I think PSA uses the "blem" in sales ads to not piss off past customers who paid full price for the same product.
My son-in-law just purchased a GF3 pistol advertised as a blem, but it looks pretty good, just like my "non-blem" version.

Oh well, at this point any of the PSA AK's coming out is great, they were back-ordered on most all models for some time. These are pretty good AK's, maybe not Arsenal quality, but pretty good nonetheless.

I just picked-up a "Blem'd" OD green myself for $599. Sure couldn't find any blems.

I've gotten back into AK's as of late and have been watching a lot of AK review videos. Rob Ski has put 5000 rounds through one of these without issue, & another 5K through the new DPMS offering (which is basically a GF3).

Most issues I've seen have been trunnion wear and carrier tail deformation. Both seem to eventually stop. And lack of QC on some of the rifles shipped.

Any issues will be fixed by PSA's lifetime warranty. They currently have my AK-74 in for evaluation. These had some issues with pieces of primer getting stuck in the firing pin channel in the bolt (found a piece in mine). I'm sure PSA will make it right.

Overall I don't feel PSA is up to the standards of some foreign made AK's, but so far (300 rounds), my GF3 has been a solid rifle. Especially at it's price point. And their inexpensive comp (as seen on mine), really helps tame the recoil.

OP, some PSA owners complain about mag fit. Buy quality mags, be willing to spend time filling on the back of ill fitting mags.

My Gen. 2 AK was also a blem. It had a ding in the trigger guard, shaped like a round rivet head.

I have a PSAK47 GB2, and it is great. I hear that the GF3's are even better. No mag problems with mine, every mag. domestic or surplus import that I have tried have been 100%.
