For a couple of years a Springfield EMP has been one of my primary EDCs. It fits my hand really well and, improvements in ammo over the last few years have moved the 9mm from marginal to pretty good for self defense (IMHO). So I snagged another one. I have hope that the CA gun stupidity will go in the "good" direction in the next year or so with some help from SCOTUS, but I intend to be prepared if not.

I bought one a few years back, used. I figured out why when I got it home. It would leave an empty casing in the chamber every three or four shots. I adjusted the extractor, and got it right on the first try! It is now a good shooting little 1911.

My brother traded into one and neither of us liked them. I think he traded it to my dad.

Good 1911, but it's no S&W revolver.
