Default Sig P322

Got one of the first ones out last week from Smokey Mountain Guns and Ammo for $399 w/free shipping. Upon arrival I was pleased with the quality and features, such as being optics ready and threaded barrel. Field stripping is was a breeze and the mags (20 round capacity) are easy to load too.

So far I’ve ran a few boxes of various ammo through it with nary a hiccup. It’s accurate and the trigger puts my Glock 44 to shame. I’ve outfitted it with a Riton MPRD2 that I got from Bereli for $99 shipped. It’s a no frills optic of what seems to be high quality, shake awake, auto brightness, auto off, great battery life and it used the existing set screws from the factory plate/rear sights just fine.

So far the pros well outweigh the cons. The only negative so far is that the front sight post loosened up under rapid firing. Easily resolved by pulling the set screw and applying blue loctite.

I’ll continue to update this thread regularly as I get more rounds down the pipe. Sig has a winner with this one. If you have the means to buy one under MSRP I highly recommend it.

Cheers

Thanks for the good review. That Olight looks great on it too. Haven't seen one here at my LGS but I'm sure they'll start arriving soon. But probably have to pick it up as soon as I see it.

Thanks for the review and pics. It's good to hear that it doesn't seem to be overly ammo picky. I don't really need one but the more I read and hear about the P322 the more I want one.

my disappointment with Sig is that it isn't the size of a P320.. so all accessories would work... holsters etc... felt like they missed the obvious..

One minor question: Is there a steel insert in the slide for the breach? I'm not a big fan of aluminum slides without it. My .22 conversion for my 229 has one.
