AR pistol sights
Wasn’t sure where to post this since it’s not a S&W. AR. but I’ll start here, I’m needing a set of iron flip up sights for an AR pistol with a 7 1/2 inch barrel. Would these be the same as for an AR rifle. Since the spread between front and rear sights is a lot shorter distance.

Same as rifle ones.
If you are doing a red dot… I’d recommend a set of Magpul backup sights. The polymer ones are good (MBUS 2), unless you are putting it on a gas block. The Pro series are metal, which are nice… but cost a little bit.
Supposedly, they are putting out a new version of the polymer MBUS (3). They are smaller than the previous generation, sort of like a polymer Pro series. But they don’t really have a release date.

Should be the same. I run Mag Pul flip up's on my 10.5 inch AR pistol without any issues.

Regular Magpuls on my 7.5" AR.
I added a dot sight to it too.

I have the Mag Pul sights on mine along with a red dot, both work well. The sight radius will be short for the flip ups but they should be functional.

Thanks guys, I put a red dot/ flashlight under the barrel but decided I needed something for bright conditions. Kinda bought this gun on a whim without a lot of research on sights.

I installed offset irons on my sbr and pistol build. A Burris red dot and a Vortex as primary.

Same sights, just closer to your eyes

I bought some nice Wilson Combat flip sights for my 8" bbl. 10mm Banshee while I waited for my red dot to arrive.
I quickly found out I should have saved my $$.
No way my older eyes can focus on them, just too close.
Thank goodness for red dots!

They’re not cheap, but Troy Battle Sights are excellent…
