Default A couple of new-to-me 1911's

I just completed a purchase on a couple of nice Springfield Armory EMP4 Commander-sized pistols. I've had a 9mm EMP4 for several years, but have wanted one in .40S&W. SA had one for a while, but pulled them all off the shelves, according to my LGS for poor sales. I found one via a conversation here with a member who had one he wanted to sell. The caveat was, I had to buy both EMP4's he had, one was 9mm, the other the .40S&W I was looking for. I wanted the .40 badly enough, so I bought them both, and just took possession of them on this past Thursday.

Now I have two 9mm versions; I'll probably sell the one I've had a while, I mentioned to the seller I would keep the pair I bought together. I don't shoot 9mm much, but I really like the EMP4's size. I'm eager to try out the .40 version; I have two other .40S&W pistols, a Ruger SR40c and a BHP MkIII, and I really like .40S&W caliber.

I want to give Mike0251 a shout-out here; the deal was as smooth and slick as warm butter, not a single hiccup. We've also become friends, I think, we've discovered we have a lot in common during our correspondence during this deal.

The pistols came in their original hard cases; they were packaged from SA with a waistband slip-in OWB Kydex holster and a Kydex double magazine holder, and from the seller, a soft slip in IWB holster. Both pistols came with 3 magazines each from SA. The 9mm holds 10+1, the .40 is 9+1, they are single stack. Below are the three I own; my original 9mm is top left, the new .40 is middle, the new 9mm is bottom.
