Finally, a decent day to do some shooting.....other than the mud pit behind my house due to the torrential downpours overnight.
Picked up a new Daniel Defense M4V7 complete upper
and an EoTech EXPS2 HWS yesterday. Spent the better part of the day zeroing in the Troy Iron Sights, Eotech (with and without a Vortex Micro 3X magnifier), and Primary Arms 1-6x24 ACSS Raptor FFP Scope all at 50 yards. The Federal XM193 55gr FMJ ammo didn't do too badly. Next time out I'll set up at 100 yds.
The DDM4V7 upper mid-length gas system is pretty slick. It came with the DD 15" MFR rail, DD Grip n Rip Ambi CH, and DD muzzle device. I spent a while yesterday degreasing all the factory slop off of everything and lubing it. It ran great in stock form. Smooth shooter and no malfunctions. But being me, I had to play around with it. After a little T&E with various parts, it ended up running like a finely tuned Swiss watch with a Spikes Tactical T1 Tungsten buffer, Sprinco Hot White buffer spring, and Battle Comp muzzle device. Time and money well spent.
Now the cleaning begins....
That is all. Over and out.
