Default B+T brugger & thomet MKII

I really want to like B+T, but it's pretty hard sometimes.
In this case, I was in a shop and saw the MK-II and thought it looked pretty cool and a little reminiscent of the old Hi-Power. I figured for $1200, it should be pretty cool, then I held it...
I can't get the safety back on with my thumb, it's just not located well. I'll tolerate that in a gun designed 50+ years ago if it has other redeeming qualities (thing SIG P210), but in a modern firearm? Not even a little.
The trigger was also very stagy, reminiscent of the BHP and more like what I'd expect in a $600 or under pistol than something that price.
Just make sure you like the ergonomics before buying on is all I can say.
