Bought a couple of A-Tec CMM (compact modular moderator) .22lr silencers





Every “ring” can be unscrewed and disassembled for cleaning. You can also remove some in order to shorten the silencer. I didn’t notice much difference with two rings less.



I have a Colt service model ace with an extended threaded barrel and an old Parker Hale silencer



The A-Tec is substantially quieter





And it doesn’t seem to affect accuracy (25 m offhand)





I also tried it on an old French Unique X51 semi auto rifle. Extremely quiet as can be expected

Every car requires a muffler.Motorcycles and trucks too. Why "mufflers" are not fully allowed by every gun owner to own and keep the peace is nothing more than hysteria by those who watch TV and think it's real.

When we were stationed in England in the 60s my Dad bought a BSA .22 autoloader rifle and it came from the factory with a Parker-Hale suppressor and you were expected to use it.When we came stateside little did I know how "evil" they were and used it hunting for years..till someone told me they were illegal. Shame how minds are so easily manipulated.

That looks like a dandy unit. Very compact and easy to service.

I really wish our elected "betters" would get off their duffs and finally show some common sense in removing suppressors from the NFA here. But since that makes too much sense...probably will be awhile.

I'm seriously considering getting "on the grid" and acquiring suppressors in both 22 and 45. Particularly in 22, just seems really useful imo.
