Default unknown receiver idendity

Hello fellow forum members!

This receiver was in a backpack that was part of my stolen guns that was recovered.

Any clue as to what it is for?

No markings at all that I can see. The grooved top suggests that is ia a .22lr of some sorts.

Am puzzled..

Thanks everyone!!

Randy

No idea as to brand, but to narrow the quest a bit, a takedown semi auto 22. The way the back end drops off I would add a Jhon M. Browning design (or designed to fool you into thinking he had a hand in the design!)

It might also be a Browning BAR .22 receiver. I’ve never owned one, so I don’t know wha they look like under the forearm.

BPR .22

BAR .22
