You may search a while, but the search will be worth it. I am still waiting for a blue 3". I expect I will wait a VERY long while for that.

I probably wouldn’t be able to avoid a Diamondback if it were the rt size and caliber.

Colt's web site is offering direct sales of Pythons and Anaconda revolvers. The price of the Pythons "dropped" to $1,400.00 today for blue or stainless in all barrel lengths. The web site shows the revolvers are available, including the Anaconda.
Instructions are on the Colt site. The revolvers ship direct to your FFL dealer.

Are you sure you’re looking at the official Colt site? I checked and the price is $1499 and no indication of direct sales. Actually I can’t imagine them selling direct. It seems it would violate contracts with distributors.
Available in blue too, I haven’t read anything about introducing them in blue. ????
By the way there are several bogus colt sites. Hodgdons went through that too and it appears there is a Midwayusa bogus site.

As I always say, don't pick up a snake. Got to shoot an old 2 in. Python a few times, what a joy.

The four and a quarter Pythons have bit me a couple of times over the last couple of years.
In an Anaconda shows up with a similar length barrel, I'm going to have to walk REAL careful around them. I have this "thing" about a four inchish barrel revolver.

I mostly wanted a 6 inch barrel, but took what was available. They say 2 inches makes a difference, we'll see.

Midway USA has the 3” in stock at this moment for $1499 and free shipping. I placed an order for one yesterday. Midway had 4.25” until last night but are currently out of stock.
The secret to finding one or anything these days is to keep checking several times a day. I’ve been successful finding my Colts that are in short supply and even small pistol primers, powder and brass.
Persistence and checking in the right places with REPUTABLE dealers pays off. I paid retail for two of my Pythons and got a discount on my 4.25”.
Best of luck! They’re worth the trouble.

I was bitten many years ago by this one, a 1981 beauty. I forgave it and kept it as a pet...

I hadn’t seen the news that they’re introducing a 22 Target version. Looks like I’ll have to start saving for it.
