Mec-Gar Hi-Power magazines.
I just got a couple of Mec-Gar 10 round mags for a P-35 today. They have a little gizmo that sort of looks like a Golf T in the pack with each magazine.
Any idea what it's for? I got nothing.

I had no idea what that was, glad you posted this and I like how you said a golf tee gave me the idea to use a golf tee for a mag tool.
Thanks

I gotta admit that I felt like an idiot. Well Duhhhhhhh...Of course that's what it's for. I've just never seen anything like it. There was a screw at the base of the mag that I thought was for takedown, but now I realize that screw holds the cover over the slot where you install the little spring gizmo that kicks the magazine out of a High Power that has the mag disconnect.
There is another hole for the "golf tee" that allows you push down on the mag floor plate and slide the false bottom of the ten round mag off. Clever.

Glad someone answered that before I embarrassed myself. I didn't get the size, and thought it was a three-shot plug for migratory wildfowl and perhaps some state laws.
