I have one. It is great. It is also not nearly as picking about what I feed it as are some of my other .22 semi-autos.

Oh yeah, love mine and use in steel challenge extensively.

I have the standard bull barrel, added a Romeo 3 dot which I love.

I did change all internals w the Volquartsen kit which is a must have

It's an excellent target pistol, great for handgun training. Take care if you take it down for cleaning, getting the barrel back on can be a pain.

I have a Mk3 2245 and an all steel Mk4 6" hunter. I like them both. They do need a trigger kit if you want a nice trigger. I did most of a Volquartsen trigger kit on mine. I didn't use their bar so it won't get rid of 100% of the take up but it got rid of 95+% of it. I wouldn't want the trigger any lighter than it is now. The factory trigger was way too heavy. The newest version (Mk4) is a whole lot easier to put back together and is well worth any extra cost. I love the 6" hunter but some or the newer 2245 lite versions are kind of appealing.

Have had one for years. Extremely accurate and a great trainer/practice gun. Also many rabbits have followed me home for supper due to it speaking to them

I have not changed a thing on it and probably won’t.

Ruger 10/22 or MK whatever 22, you just gulped down the bottle labeled DRINK ME, and down the rabbit hole you go. This started out as a $350 gun It now has a Leupold delta point on it, which I dont have a pic of, so I'm way over 1000 bucks. Stay off of Majestic arms and Volquartsen web sights. There is so much aftermarket stuff for these guns, it's probably cheaper to start a good crack habit.

I have one and added the Volquartsen Accurizing Kit. Accurizing Kit | Volquartsen Firearms

2.25 lb trigger, adjustable for take up and reset. HUGE difference in performance.

I have the MkIII 5" bull barrel. Shoots great.

Trigger could be better, but I'm using it for plinking, not Bullseye.

The Ruger Mark Series are great IMHO, I have the Mk1, II and III. They will certainly outlast me.

I've had an older version for years. It does not have the trigger my S&W Model 41 had. But it has something even more important to me; reliability. The 41 was a fine shooting machine, but very finicky about ammo...

I have 4 or 5 Mk3 22/45 Lite pistols. One or two are still stock but most have either Volquartsen or Tandemcross goodies added to them. Excellent pistols, great for new shooters and target practice. They are excellent suppressor hosts as well. Mine have never disappointed me. Highly recommended.

I’m looking forward to shooting it. I’ve only shot my Uncles old Mark 1 some 30 years ago. Gonna look into some red dots…maybe a burris or Vortex. For now I’ll try mr cheap Tasco 30mm. Works great on the 70.

And btw, I don’t know why all my uploaded photos turn sideways. And I try to copy a link from Google photos to put the picture in the body of the text but it always comes up invalid file.

I've had about every series of the Ruger MK pistols. Learned to take them apart long before the internet was around.

The MKIII was great once you removed the mag disconnect safety. When the IV came out I had to get one too. Lots of fun and can be very quiet.

Great fun gun. I bought the 22/45 Lite last summer for the wife. I shoot it more than she does. But, the trigger needs work. Fortunately, there are some really good after market choices. And, the Mark IV take down design is light years a head of the Mark III.

As the owner of 7 Ruger Mark pistols, and an original 22/45, good choice. The Volquartsen trigger kit is the way to go. 22/45 magazines are different from the Mark III and IV, if you want to buy spares. Best way is 2 packs on eBay.

RimfireCentral is where you will find the most useful info. I'm Racer X over there too.

I really like my Mark IV 22/45 Lite. I added the Volquartsen Accurizing Kit, Tandemkross Halo Charging Handle, Allchin compensator and Herrett Stocks.

It's one of my favorite guns.

I am a big fan of the Ruger MK series. As for 22/45's, I have a MKII 22/45, a MKIII 22/45 LITE, and a MKIV 22/45 LITE.

No doubt, for me, my MKII is the best shooter. Though still a favorite, the MKIV is my least favorite of the MK line, though since you don't have much experience with a MKII or MKIII and don't have a comparison you should be quite pleased with your MKIV.
