K-22 Outdoorsman from 1939. Hard to resist a 22lr equivalent to the Registered Magnum (my opinion).

For me it been the 29 or 629. Shooting light loads is a joy. Lately it's been my 629 5", it has such good balance.

4" 25-5. There's just something about a big bore N frame that speaks to me.

For me it is the do anything, shoot anything, never fail and always on target platform. A "C" prefix 1911 that at some point went through a complete accuracy job, became part of three (3) gun bullseye matches and ended up with me. A Black Tea finish and VZ grips brought it back to a nice physical appearance but, have no doubt that it get's the job done!

My S&W M&P 15-22 with a cheap 4x scope, and a bunch of 25 round magazines I load up the night before, and these days add the suppressor and sub-sonic ammo. Just never get tired of plinking hanging metal plates or swinging some baseballs hung from a PVC frame. I love to get one spinning and then try to hit it as it moves back and forth or to try to make it spin the opposite way with my next shot.

Well, yet another new day. This morning I reached in the gun safe and out came a Springfield Fully Loaded 1911. Yep, my favorite gun of the day.

Sorry for the repeat pics, but for the 100% fondling pleasure in my modest collection, it's ALWAYS one of two (and sometimes both) that get taken out and played with for a few minutes, regardless of the reason I went in there in the first place. 🙂
1918 Colt Black Army or 1944 Standard Products M1 Carbine.

Handgun would be S&W 17-1 or Ruger Single Six, whichever is the first one I grab; Rifle would be Henry .357/38 Spl single shot; Shotgun would be 12 gauge Remington 1100 left hand.

My Beretta 687 Silver Pigeon III in 28/410. Do my Skeet practice with the 410 and when I need a moral boost due to misses all I have to do is mount the 28 gauge barrel set.

I almost always reach for my not all the way fallen apart heritage rough rider. By far the cheapest gun I own, but still the most smiles per round.
On a side note, where do you get these glasses? My eyes have had trouble with depth perception and focusing for a long time. I thought I was just out of luck in that regard. Ice to know there are solutions out there.

Smith & Wesson 617-6 six inch. This is my primary gun and I've been shooting it for more than 10 years. It's now a backup to my 4 inch 617 but that may change.

I’m like Mike, I enjoy shooting all of my guns, but during any given trip to the indoor range, a 1911 is almost assured to be going along. I usually take two or three guns, so the revolver position could be taken by anything from a .22 Kit Gun to a .44 Magnum, and the third slot is generally a compact model, or a .22 target pistol, or maybe something with a red dot sight.

Never go without one of these two!
Smith Outdoorsman .22 and Colt Trooper .22 both from the early 50's. Darn things just shoot so straight it's almost magical! A little character on them just makes them look tough at the range or in the desert.
Keep on fighting the Good fight...

I'm a longtime Hi-Power fan, previously owning FN/Browning manufactured guns. For the past several months though, it's been something new to me, the Springfield SA-35. Through several hundred rounds of factory ammo, it's been as boringly reliable as my FN/Browning guns...

I can tell you what is going next. These two have somehow remained in the safe and need some exercise. Model 58 four inch and Model 625JM.

my favorite is a K frame or 686, in 357 Magnum for a fun full load
that makes me smile at the groups out to 100 yards.
The 38 special and 9mm are a close second when a lot of rounds need to be fired
but it depends on if it is a outing with a 1 7/8 short barrel or a 9mm with a 3.5 or 5" tube,
and the range and type of shooting being done.

Haven't been to the range in a long time. I don't like to go alone and my buddy that usually goes with me is having his eye surgery soon, then we can go again. That said when I want to do some dry fire practice it is my M10-6, 5"bbl that gets the nod. Fit with Pac's and some snap-caps it has shot at every wall in the house. You'd be surprised at how many burglars have broken into my house in the last year and a half. Every one of them still lye where they fell in my imagination. Good practice for when or if it happens for real. To me, a K frame fit with a 5"bbl and Pac's just looks right. I have to admit my M10 is the only one I have that is fit with a 5"bbl.
For a long gun it has to be my Mossberg Model 146 that had the bbl shortened to 20" and crowned, bead blasted then reblued. A right handy .22 that is so easy to carry and as good a shooter as I am. I don't take prizes anymore.

Suppressed MP5k
...followed closely by my grandfathers High Standard Sport King. Not anything special, but the very first handgun I ever shot as a kid. My dad, my grandfather, and I would shoot at pop bottle caps hammered into the bark of a tree on the edge of the woods behind their house.
Wow.... kinda got lost in an old memory there. :-)

I had to spend a few days thinking on this since I enjoy taking each of my guns to the range. In the end I have to say that it's my S&W model 15. Maybe because my dad had one, maybe because I carried one sometimes as an Air Force cop, and maybe because it's just a fine gun to shoot.

(Left to Right)
SA Professional Custom 9mm
45acp custom from a local Gunsmith
SA Garrisons 9mm and .45acp (Ivory)

I saddens me that there is no real all time favorite in either rifle, shotgun or handgun. There are to many to choose from and I like them all.
I was at the range today with a CZ 452 22 Mag to sight in for tree rats and a custom 416 Taylor. I haven't shot this since 2005 and honestly forgot what load was in it so I burned up 20 rounds. I'll load it down some and use it to shoot a deer this fall.

I know what you mean. I do know the LT Colonel who carried my Ithaca was wearing it when he liberated a Nazi death camp.
