I have a chance to purchase an early Winchester Model 64,not a pre-64 94(just to be clear),made in 1934. Condition is about 85%. No rust or pitting, just honest field wear. It's in 30 WCF. What would be an approximate value? I don't have a clue and want to make a fair offer. Thanks for any and all help.

I had a friend pay $1650.+tax for one that was in the 98% range last month, but as I say, it looked cleaner than most of the last made 94's new on the shelf.

$600-$700ish if it's straight. A deluxe or carbine will bring more.

I dont know what they go for nowdays, but I have had this one made in 1952. Its a safequeen I bought close to 40 years ago, I belive unfired. I finaly broke down and fired a few rounds through it last year. Cant resist showing it. I do have a 94 I bought back in the mid 50s new, when I was a teenager, so it wasnt like I had to shoot the 64.

Didn't know much about this model so I got my Winchester book out. I see that it was introduced in 1933, making yours a very early model. The 30 WCF was by far the biggest seller but the rarest seems to be the .219 Zipper introduced in 1937 but discontinued in 1941.

Sorry, don't know much about the value but if you like her and the price seems right, go for it.

My model 64 30-30 is one of my most accurate centerfire lever guns, it will shoot as well as my model 88 at 100 yds.

It would bring a grand around here. It will likely continue to increase in value as rapidly as any investment I could think of.

At least $700 and maybe $1,000. The 64 is a better shooter than most 94-type rifles. I think it is also the best looking.

+1 on the best looking and best handling. At 85%, I would think $750 to $900.

Thanks derby. Would you belive I have $200 in it? A gunsmith friend of mine had a widow bring it in along with 3 or 4 others, but that was back in the early 70s. I think it was unfired, I shot less than two boxs through it.
