I know this probably isn’t the best forum to ask this, but I don’t belong to any Winchester forums, and you guys know everything. :D

Lately I’ve seen a couple of “Winchester Model 70 Super Grade’s” up for sale, that appear to be from recent years. (Not on this forum) Neither of them had SUPER GRADE stamped into the floor plate. Did Winchester make Super Grades that didn’t have that?

I believe all SGs had the stamping on their magazine floor plates. But there are differences in the stamping styles. Older ones had tapered dashes at both ends, newer ones had straight dashes. I would have doubts about any SG floorplate without a stamping. But then again, I really don’t know much about stamping, or lack thereof, on newer floor plates.

Some of the stuff coming out of Win in the 90's was all over the place.
There are some comments over on the 24hr Campfire website on the Winchester Collectors Forum about Mod 70 Supergrades. Some confusing model 70 SG'ds in that time and forward. Some made/purchased in the 20-teens noted to be SG marked on the bbl but not on the floor plate.

I'm no collector, but I've seen some crazy thrown together stuff come out of Factorys.

One confusing thing is cdnn has sold many super grade stocks as individual items. So it would not be uncommon to see those on std rifles.
