I just bought a 1969 Browning Medalist .22 - call it a belated high school graduation present.
The 12 page manual clearly tells you how to load, shoot, adjust the sights, disassemble the gun, and how to use the dry fire mechanism.
My recent S&W M&P Metal 2.0 manual spends the first 12 pages telling you different ways not to shoot yourself.
I'm not one of those old guys who thinks everything was better way back when; today is a marvel in many ways. But not knowing that shooting yourself is stupid wouldn't be one of those ways.
Or maybe it's just the way society has changed regarding who is at fault after doing something stupid.
