This is an interesting pistol I bought on impulse about five years ago. It's a Swiss assembled AT-84S; basically a CZ-75 clone built with a lot of Italian parts and assembled/finished by ITM Solothurn in Switzerland. These were imported by Action Arms, Philadelphia Pa in the mid-1980's. It looked unfired when I bought it, but now it's been shot some and proven to be accurate and reliable. I have three 15-round magazines for it. The original case and paperwork are included.

I have one in the matte blued finish.

It’s not quite identical but over all is a faithful clone of the “Pre- B CZ 75, and very well made.

The AT-84S was assembled in Switzerland by Solothurn using parts made by Tanfoglio.

There are some minor differences such as the front sight being staked rather than pinned and the different rear sight. The pre B CZ-75 has a low profile rib with 10 grooves, while the AT84S has six grooves in the top of the slide but no actual rib. The pre B CZ 75 also has a lanyard loop that is absent from the AT84S. The AT84S also has a spur hammer rather than a rounded hammer. The safety lever on the AT84S is slightly shorter, slightly wider and has more aggressive grooves. The slide stop is slightly longer than the stop on the pre B CZ-75. The front and back strap are also grooved on the AT84S, while the pre B CZ-75 has a smooth front and back strap.

Internally the AT84S has a full length guide rod which is an improvement and on my two pistols the barrels and slide stop levers are interchangeable, but there are minor fitting differences between the slides and frames that prevent them from being interchangeable.

Both my pre B CZ-75 and my AT84S do just fine with the magazines I use in my other full size CZ 75 B and D series pistols.

That's a great comparison; thanks for posting. I don't own a CZ-75, but looking at yours sure makes me want one.
