Kimber Ultra Carry
Finally got the Kimber Ultra Carry I have been wanting. Was able to trade for it even up, I actually made .02 cents when it was all said and done. I got the stainless steel version in .45 ACP. Traded a gun I literally have not shot in years for something that will be my carry gun. It is light, compact and easy to conceal. I am completely satisfied and have absolutely no "traders remorse".
Been wanting the Kimber for a very long time.

I have several Kimber’s including a 9mm Aegis ultra. I had a two tone ultra in 45 and was very pleased with it as well. I have several other Kimber’s in 9mm, 45 and 38 super and all have been very accurate and 100% reliable.
Enjoy your new Kimber.

My Kimber is a Pro Carry II. The one .45 ACP I love to CC and is great!

I have spoken to a lot of Kimber owners, and will recommend putting at lease 500 rounds through it to get it "broke in",and make sure it is 100% reliable. I have heard of early use break in problems that are usually worked out y 500 rounds.

I have an Ultra RCP (melted, no sights) and a Pro Carry II. I carry one or the other on 1911 days.
Bought both of them used and have never had an issue with either.
I did replace the "bobbed" hammer on the RCP with a Commander style, makes dry firing easier.

My Kimber Ultra Carry II has been super reliable. Requires occasional recoil spring changes. Had this one for about 15 years+. Sold all other 1911s. Only keeping this one.

I traded a 4" Model 29 that I never shot. Could I have sold it, sure I could have. I got rid of something I never shot and got something I have wanted for a looong time, no remorse at all.
I still have a .44 magnum, and if I need something bigger I also have a .454 Casull. I could never get the ultra carry out of my mind and when a brand new one popped up I decided to trade, and I'm glad I did. Walked out the door with an even trade and pocketed .02 cents in the process.

I carried this one for the better part of a decade and shot it on average about twice a week at the NRA range in Fairfax.
Accurate and once broken in very reliable. I normally carried Remington 185 gr Golden Sabers in it, and recoil is very manageable.
You will want to change the recoil springs or replace the entire recoil assembly about every 1000-1200 rounds.

I only have one Kimber , but it's not really a Kimber . It's a Daewoo 40cal , which was imported by Kimber . Has their name on the side and the name of the town in Oregon where they started . I picked it up , nib , at a store here in town for $250 . I ended up shooting it , great gun . Would like to here the story behind Kimber importing Korean guns .
