Because these matched set of Eagle brand sambar stags are for Virginian Dragoons they were priced real low. I bought one set and after measuring them I contacted a grip maker about cutting them down for Colt SAAs. The screw hole matched perfectly. The anchor pin location is different, of course. I'm left handed and both left panels are exceptional. One set goes off today to be modified.

You might want to think about locating a Virginia Dragoon for the remaining set.

They're pretty durable SAA Euro Clones, and relatively inexpensive.

Great grips, thanks for sharing them.

Virginia Dragoon was a Mosberg single action made to be the strongest Gun until Freedom Arms started up. Some people customized them into a 50 cal the almost riveled 50 S&W. But the 44 Mag could handle EVERYTHING you could cram in to the case! Think of it as a SBH's big brother.

The only one I owned was a 4" 357 Mag, which was heavy for that size gun, but still manageable.

A friend had a .44 Virginian Dragoon with sambar stag grips. I felt it was too big. Bigger as I recall than my Ruger old model Super Blackhawk.

Awesome

I love what can be found in Gun Shops and Pawn Shops

Years ago I found a set of Model 59 carved Ivory marked as plastic. They are now on my 559

Decades ago I bought a disassembled Virginia Dragoon in 44 Magnum. I will have to see if I still have it, I may have sold it off but I never assembled it

Those are gorgeous. They will look great on whatever they’re on. 👍

You have to post that gun and carved ivories! I put Grashorn smooth elk bone on my nickel 39-2. Those ivories must be great.

Not normally my cup of tea, I prefer smooth Ivory on the auto loaders, but for $25 I had to have them

Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then :)
