Double your pleasure, double your fun.
Been on the lookout for a specific gun. Never could seem to find one to look over. Finally, last night I was perusing gun store websites, and I found out that a shop about 50 miles from me had them in stock. Alrighty, then. Looks like we're travelling. When i got there, not only did they have one, they had several. Including 2 with consecutive serial numbers. So, I am the proud owner of these 2 beauties. Ordered extra mags, got one holster, now I need another holster and ammo. Maybe some grips, I don't know. Fit and finish is excellent. Nice, smooth action. Surprised they only came with one mag apiece. But I have already remedied that. What's up Springfield? Mags cost too much to include a spare? Other than that, I'm very happy. Just thought I'd share.

I think manufacturers are dropping to one magazine per gun so they won't incur the ire of those who think the buyer is a terrorist.

Very nice! 👍👍 I have heard a lot of good things about these 9mms. Probably only one magazine to keep the cost down. Let us know how they shoot when you get a chance.

They could have left out the soft case and gave me another mag, just saying.

Any special reason for buying two? Somebody having a good Christmas this year?

Pairs are fun!
I wasn't able to get consecutive numbers, but surprisingly only 8 numbers apart considering they came from two different distrubtors a month apart.

Lack of oxygen? Buyer's fever? Tequila flashbacks? You tell me. I didn't set out to buy 2, but on the way there, I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be cool if they had consecutive serial numbers?" I then forgot about that and continued driving. Then as I was looking at the display model, he mentioned that they had gotten in 5. I then had a brain fart and asked if they had 2 with consecutive serials. When he said yes, I felt a little twitch in my brainstem. I think it was a giggle that got lost. I mean, why not? A pair with consecutive numbers isn't worth any more, but if you're gonna have a pair? How often am I gonna get this chance?

This past Friday I was at the range shooting and just enjoying the afternoon. Gentleman next to me was firing several different 9mm pistols. He had a SA-35!!! We got to talking and he offered to let me run a magazine through the pistol. Dog gone pistol went and started making holes right where the sights pointed. Actually used a bullet hole for a aiming mark. Put 14 other shots into a little group about the size of a golf ball. Now I've located a nice new SA-35 at the local gunshop. It's just gorgeous. And, I'm half way there saving the money to buy it! Looking forward to buying it. Sincerely. bruce.

OK. I haven't shot these yet, but in holding them for a couple of days and looking them over closely, I am more impressed. No tool marks, very nice slide to frame fit with no wobble or slop, overall build quality is excellent. The triggers are nice, not the same as a 1911, but good nonetheless. The grips are excellent. Checkering not too sharp and they fit like a glove. Pointability is great in either hand.
Now for some niggling things. First, the sights. The front is a white dot but the back is a blacked out U shape. The U is fairly deep allowing for some up and down alignment issues. I would prefer either all black sights or a 3 dot setup. We'll see where it shoots. Also the safety moves easily with no detents at the stops. We'll see if the thumbsnap holsters I have will disengage it while moving around. Now both of these are extremely minor issues, with the sights being personal preference.
Overall, I am extremely happy with these pistols. They are high quality firearms. If you are interested in one of these (or 2), don't hesitate. At $700 they are reasonably priced for a forged steel and walnut gun. As long as they don't shoot sideways, I think these might become my favorites.

You have to have one mag to sell the gun with. Some shops take all extra mags to sell separately for higher profit. Some don't.

Yeah, but in this case the factory only ships one. Says so on their website. I think it was a decision based on making a certain price point. Although, like i said, they could have swapped the soft case for a mag.

Wish I could find the stores in Vegas that don't.

Well, my holster got here and I ordered some G10 grips to keep from buggering the originals. Since I had a Bianchi 19L right hand, I ordered the same in left hand. Got 6 mags showing up tomorrow. Thankfully, HP mags aren't made of diamonds and platinum. I think 4 mags a piece is enough to start. I may look around for some used ones, if I can find some cheap.

Actually, the dual hip holsters are just for the "cool" factor. If I felt the need to carry 2 full size service autos the Lone Ranger style wouldn't be my choice. I'd either go with something like the Doc Holliday style from Tombstone, or just a straight double shoulder holster.
Of course if I felt the need to carry 2 full size autos, I'd have a long gun in my hands. There's armed, then there's adequately armed.

Those are nice. Mine are cheapies off Amazon. They're a little thinner than the factorys, but they still feel pretty good. Mostly due to the shape of the grip frame. I hate the flat sides of my Glock grip, but these have flat sides and feel good.

Those are nice looking pistols, too bad they don’t come in .45. Like that steel and walnut.

yeah, I like the VZ's best, but they don't always have the ones I want. But I do like the sunburst coolhands in Coyote color because they are cheaper. But they don't make sunbursts OR coyote for the hipower.....
