Default Tisas Raider Review

I’ve owned a Tisas WW2 style GI 1911 for a couple months now with 700 flawless rounds are though it. Liked it so much I bought another Tisas 1911 just recently. The Raider:

This is another GI based gun, except this time based on the famous Marine Corps Colt M45A1 CQBP, the last widespread issued 1911 pistol in U.S. service.

Shot it today for the first time. 107 rounds of service ball and 50 rounds of Federal HST 230 grain hollow points.

0 jams.

I used two Wilson Combat 47CB magazines, the same type issued by the Marines in their M45A1s. Excellent trigger, sights, tight slide to frame, no barrel hood movement, superb fit and finish. Forged frame and slide, CHF barrel, and no MIM in the entire gun. All internals are machined from billet and hardened before machining.

I am thrilled with this handgun. Real USMC M45A1s start at $3000 and depending on pedigree skyrocket from there. This gun cost a whopping $599. The only mod I did was swap the plunger sprint for a Wolff unit to get a little more positive safety snap, cost just $3.50.

I’ve got some actual Mil-Tac M45A1 G10 grips on order to make the look that much closer to the real deal.

Tisas simply rocks. I’m VERY happy with this smooth shooter.

Semper Fi,

-Glenn

I love em

I bought the B45 Tisas 1911 45 ACP with the G10 grips and it's just an awesome version of a 1911 in my opinion anyways. The one and only FTF I've had was with a junk mag. All my Wilson Combat mags, zero issues and I'm about 450 rds. in.

Here's the first group I shot with it offhand at 7 yards. And I'm by no means an expert shot. I've got even better groups since. Gonna have to take more pics. It's a shooter.
