Default New Taurus 66 Revolvers .....

Anyone have any experience with these models ? I do own a Model 85 that's about 10 years old that was given to me . It's pretty decent quality wise considering it's cost but was wondering about the newer models .

I've owned several of them over the years, from 22 LR to 44 Mag. Never had a problem with any of them. I didn't try to pound them into the ground or anything, but they all got shot, some more than others. Most of the ones I owned were from the late 70's through the 80's, to a 2014 Tracker 44.

I never kept one long. I'm always selling and trading something to get something else, so the fact that I don't have any now, doesn't mean anything really. The only Taurus I have now is G3 semi. It ain't going nowhere. Good gun.

My son has a 856, similar to the 85 except it is a six shooter rather than a five shooter.
Having shot it on several occasions, I have found it to be reliable and as accurate as a snub nose can be.
