Default Who is Loading 7.62x39 for Colt Rifles?

I'm purchasing a Colt CR 6762 and was wondering who out there might be reloading for it, what bullets to use, what powders, etc. I've loaded lots of 5.56 for ARs and Mini-14s, so I'm not concerned about reloading for semi-autos.

Advice appreciated!

Not sure about a Colt, but I load 7.62x39 with CFE BLK or Accurate 1680.
The standard is 123 gr FMJ bullets.

Check bore diameter. Most are .310/.311 but there a few that have a .308 bore.
RCBS dies provide a .311 and a .308 expander.
New brass and probably once fired is available.
Bullets are available.

I never load 7.62x39 FMJ's. I load my cast bullets and soft point hunting ammo. I have a Mini-30 and a PSA upper on one of my lowers. I've killed a good many deer with both rifles........For factory hunting ammo I like the Hornady 123 gr SST with the plastic tip.

Default Reloading 7.62x39

I`ve been reloading 7.62x39 in an AR for 15ish years. Got the 7.62 as it would be a legal deer gun in Virginia if it came to that. It`s a Rock River lower and a Del Ton upper. It was a work in progress at first but everything came together when I got a 7/64? bit and drilled the gas port a little. It started cycling like a champ then. I put a 1.5x5 Nitrex scope on it and it shoots the usual 123s(including Hornady and Speer softpoints) about 2" at 100yds. Powder of choice is Accurate 1680. Fine, "but" being an experimenter I recently tried 150 gr. 308 caliber bullets and the rifle didn`t like them so much...4ish inches at 100. So I canned that idea and traded some of those .308 150s for some .310-.311 150s which I just loaded the first batch last week and haven`t been to the range yet. I`m using H335 and Accurate 2230 in the first bunch. Hope I might get to the range this week. If you want I`ll let you know how it goes. Happy Thanks giving.
