Really like it. Dressed it up with some ivories. Have gunleather enroute. I plan to use this as a “got offa me” and snaker.

I have a mid 90's Davis in 22 Mag, and a custom CCW rig I found about 7 years ago. Never once carried it! I have a High Standard DA in 22 Mag I have carried a number of times, I have American Derringer just like the High Standard in 38 Special +P and carried it twice.

My American Derringer 357 is about like your bond. I found for weight and space/comfort small is better and simple is better! A J-Frame is very hard to beat! But a BUG of two more last ditch shots, Derringer's sort of have their place.

I have never thought they were practical for the following reasons. Only two rounds on board, must be cocked for each shot, usually a crappy trigger and difficult to control with the little grips. You do you but it seems to me that a compact auto or a J frame makes much more sense. The other thing is that the Bond Arms are large and heavy. I do think they are well made and probably the best of the breed.

Agreed. I can carry my Seecamp .32 with 7 rounds on board in the breast pocket of a T-shirt. No need to cock, no external safety, perfect close-up point and shoot. It's also made of all stainless steel and quality machine work.

I have a Davis 32acp that I occasionally carry. I’ve had it 30 plus years and only fired it a half dozen times. It’s more of a novelty than anything and not particularly practical but it would stop someone if needed. I also have a 22LR model but never carried it.

Davis we’re pretty cheaply made but do function reliably and at 5 yards you can place your shots pretty close to where you’re aiming.

I had this Bond in .38 spl./.357 mag. I got it as sort of a novelty, but found that it wasn't really practical. I sent it to Bob Munden to lighten up the trigger a bit. When it came back, it was lighter, but not by much. I called Munden and he said that with a Derringer, you don't want a super light trigger. Okay.

Shooting .38 specials through it wasn't bad, but shooting .357's through it was like getting your fingers slammed in a car door.:D

Anyway, I eventually gave it to one of my sons. Bond derringers are exceptionally well made. Solid.

Yes, I have carried mine on occasion.

Bond has recently introduced another line called Stinger.
Alloy frame so they are lighter and thinner than their old offerings.

I won't step in the snare of comparing a Bond derringer to another firearm.
I'll just appreciate them for what they are, not attempt to justify them to someone else.

Practice does go a long way in improving your level of success in accuracy and trigger pull. I'm still sorting the POA / POI on the over-under barrels and selective hammer spur. No amount of practice will make it a bullseye pistol though, I'm sure of that.

Mine is the 9mm barrel at 2.5" length but I'm looking at different caliber and length options. The barrel is a simple swap. I seem to recall 22 different options in various caliber and length combinations.
