..... TL 2000 rear sight .
Has anyone here replaced the stock rear sight with the Volquartsen unit ?
Did it make much of a difference and did you need to replace the front Ruger sight to match the rear VQ unit ?

Yes, I put the Volquartsen rear sight on my MK III. It took a little fitting, but nothing severe. You don't need to change the front sight, the heights are fine together. The sight picture is much better than the factory Ruger sight. The only dumb thing is that about a year after putting the sight on, I decided to try a red dot, and love it. As you can see, there is very little original left on that gun.

The trigger is Volquartsen along with most of the guts. The grips are from Majestic arms out of Staten Island, NY. It also has a speed strip kit on it from the same. Like a 10/22 you have to be careful not to fall down the rabbit hole.;)
Shortly after I made my own custom aluminum magazine bump pads, Majestic started selling them.
I also have to recommend a small .005” thick pad of titanium super glued behind the trigger over travel stop on 22/45 frames.
