My dad was given an Astra or Rossi, or some other make, can't remember what it was. Anyway, it was a copy of the S&W M19. I put it up for sale as he really had no use for it, and someone offered to trade a Ruger Blackhawk. Turned out it was a new model, 4 5/8 barrel, .357, in basically unfired condition. The really great part is that it had custom fitted Sambar Stag grips on it. I asked what he had in mind and he said that straight across worked for him. Worked for me too....

An old Winchester 30WCF lever gun. My good friend and hunting buddy is Canadian. He had a good friend that he grew up with that was a bush pilot and also worked the DEW Lines up north during the Cold War. He traded an open bottle of Crown Royal to an Inuit for the rifle. He later gave it to my friend who gave it to me. It’s always been a wall hanger at deer camp. Sooner or later I’ll sort it out and get it up and running.

Started as a trade and ended as a purchase. Several years ago I was in my favorite pawn shop and they had a 5 screw pre model 15, with zero finish and some endshake BUT wearing diamond targets that were 95% traded a pair of decent magna for the Targets. Gun went away. About a month later it's back for sale, BUT wearing a pair of GA finger groove combats. Paid $100 & tX after Dickering. Put the diamond targets back on, 2 shims solved the endshake. Sold the combats for $130. It is a great shooter. Did I mention that I like free guns?

At age 12, I traded my Zippo lighter for a German Krupp Schuetzen Rifle.
