Question on Engravers - Any Recommendations?
Hope all is well. I have a Colt Officers SS Model 1911 that I would like the top slide to have some light-medium engraving done on.
I am in no rush; hopeful to just mail the top-slide (if this is possible, still????).
Any recommendations on folks who do a decent job and would have interest in (I am guessing) a smaller project like this? Thank you in advance.

I suggest looking online for forums on engraving, or for engravers who show their work. There are also books on the topic with lots of pictures. By looking at the work of a variety of engravers, and learning a bit about it, you will find what you like, and be able to make a choice that is right for you.
I don't think it is the kind of thing you want to decide upon too quickly. Honestly, a lot of the enjoyment in commissioning an engraving for a firearm is the process.

Tyler Gun Works in Fiona Tx did a 640 Pro for me. Took about four months. I highly recommend them.

If you are recommending someone that engraved a gun for you, show a picture of it. Could use some eye candy, Larry

OP, you might send a message to RKMesa. He'd be my first stop for engraving questions.

Go to the FEGA website.
They have a members list with links to the Engravers website.
You will be able to search by State if you are looking for something local and you will be able to see examples of their previous work
FEGA holds it annual gathering in Vegas the weekend that the SHOT show ends. It is in conjunction with the Antique Arms show
There you can meet and talk with many of the engravers, some even do engraving at the event which allows you to see them in action
