Handgun socks too long
Does anyone know if there are gun socks on the market for short and snub nose pistols? All I've found are at least 14" long and that looks almost empty with a snubby J or I frame in it. I mean cheap ones, not something that's 10 bucks each.

I believe a product called Bore Stores come in smaller sizes. Don’t know how much they cost.

I find the SackUps site confusing, but they are very nice on the phone. The 9” Model 203 is what you are looking for. If you want 3 or more, you might want to call them to see if they have a 3-piece package at a discount. (I know that they do for the longer pistol socks.)
They have a couple of sales going on right now, but I don’t think posting coupon codes here is Kosher.
Ooops - just re-read the OP and these don’t fit with his “cheap” criteria.

Wayne, you've seen how I store my guns in my safe...Each one in a silicone treated sack...I get mine from Amazon, I just have to check which is cheapest, and I buy enough to qualify for shipping included...
As for size, I would much rather have them too big, as it's very annoying to me to rummage through my stacks, and find one or some with the grips sticking out somewhat where they can be nicked in movement...I have no problem when there's extra room...You also saw how I tag each sock with the corresponding number from my log book...
Everybody's got a system, and that's mine... ...Ben

Thanks for sharing that. I needed a few more Sack-Up socks, and—after a quick search for their Instagram account—I just saved a few dollars.

When I put snubs in a gunsock, I just fold 'em over.
Only time it's an issue is when trying to save space in a very confined space. If that's your problem, well, maybe your wife has a sewing machine and could shorten the socks for you?

Look at MidwayUSA silicone treated soft pistol case. 5.00 or so. I use cheap pistol rugs. I treat the inside with silicone. Never a problem

Strange, my small pistols don't mind being in a slightly oversize gunsock. Doesn't seem to bother them in the least.

Amazon has silicone gun socks from different vendors in various sizes, even some for revolvers.

Wipe the handguns down every year or two with a lightly oiled cloth. Serves the same purpose as socks or other gimmicks. Same for long guns. I keep mine in a safe as most others do.

This!
The standard blue bags are very nice
but even better is if you move up to
Crown Royal Reserve. They are a bit
bigger but oh so nice in light tan color.
Might be a rule: Buy a bottle of Crown
Royal, then yoiu must buy a new gun.
Buy a new gun, then you must buy
another bottle of Crown Royal.

Gotcha
But who is impressed by a sock as opposed to a "Crown Royal Original Equipment Bag"?

Gotcha
There was a member years ago who recommended them and that’s where I stole the idea from. He hasn’t posted in years and I can’t for the life of me remember his name other that he lived in the south and did a lot of gun shows

I like these, but I miss having the outside label like Sack-Ups, so you can tell what is inside without having to unwrap it.

Grandson: “Do your socks have holes in them?”
Me: “No.”
Grandson: “Then how do you get them on?”
Question: So what do I put the Crown Royal in after appropriating its bag for my snub?

CR bags have been used to store handguns and fishing reels before Gun Socks were invented. You can also buy a spray can of silicone to treat common socks.

If we could only get those (woke?) from Bombas to come out with gun socks...
Bet they'd only co$t TWICE as much! (But, who would get the "free pair"?)
Cheers!
