Looking at buying a Grade II Browning BAR rifle in 30-06. Early first year 1967 mfg. date. Has a 2-7 scope in Leupold mounts and in very good-excellent original condition. Just a few minor scratches on the buttstock. Any ideas on what these guns might bring in today’s market?? Any info. is certainly appreciated!

Magazines for some commercial rifles may not be found
at any price.
I fell into a trade for two Remington model 7400s in 30-06
a few years back, pre-covid.
Like new, but needed minor work.
The first thing I did was order 4 more mags, for a total of
3 per gun, just to be safe.
Remember, with magazines, 2 is 1 and 1 is none.

6 years later I can't get a 7400, 4 shot mag AT ANY PRICE.
Check the mag market for your Browning.

$700-$1200, depending on just how "very good-excellent" it really is. Having the original butt plate and front sight hood are important details. If the 2-7X scope is a Leupold and in nice condition, it's worth $150.

You do need to look out for salt wood on these. If you're considering buying one, pull a butt plate screw and examine it closely. If the threads are corroded and have pitting, pass...

The seller was asking $1000. Scope is a Redfield, a newer model, not one of the old wide view type. It has its original magazine too.

See what replacements magazines run. I know the early BLR magazines were around $150 each a few years back. I think someone else picked up the production and off brand replacements are available for $85 or so.

I'd say that's about right. I've seen them sell a little less and I've seen them sell a little more.
