I have a 1973 Colt Automatic .25 that is in very nice condition and shoots great. So I thought about getting a shooter grade Junior Colt to shove in the pocket for walks to the mailbox etc. and build up my Mouse Gun Collection. I found this combo with the .22 short conversion kit at a somewhat reasonable price. A fair amount of blue wear on the .25 slide. I will decide after I get the gun on whether I do anything about it. Per Colt's web site the gun is either 1958 or 1959 (serial 14xxcc), proofhouse says 1960 and C1 is stamped so Astra says 1957. A mystery??

These two are waiting at the FFL for me to pick up (gotta stop wandering the web):

Mauser 1914 .32 (don't know if you can really call this a mouse gun)

I'm quite fond of mouse guns. :D
I had a Colt Jr in .22 short many years ago. I wish I had kept it.
But I have bought a few others since. :D

My favorite is my PSP-25 (now called PSA). Its a copy of the Browning Baby and I truly believe its a better gun.

GF- the guy who owns PSA is very nice and responded to a question I had about my Bauer (needed a magazine spring) and he supplied me the spring.

I finally picked up the Colt and the Conversion Kit today, both needed a lot of elbow grease to get clean and lubed. The Kit had 4 or 5 .22 shorts in the magazine, don't know how old they were but let's just say the brass was no longer shiny :)

Picked this one up yesterday: 1968 Junior Colt in .22short. Paid a little too much but finding the Colt's in .22s for reasonable money is hard. Gun is in good/very good shooter condition. To the range tomorrow.

I have always been fond of mouse guns. I carried a Beretta 950BS/.25 ACP for years and years and I still occasionally pop it into my pocket.

I had a Walther Model 1 in .25 ACP but I sold it to a Walther collector decades ago. It came to me with a CZ DUO in .25 ACP (made in German occupied Czechoslovakia). For years it was my Florida gun because I left it at my mother's home.

The photo shows the Beretta and the CZ Duo and a simply gorgeous PSA Baby Browning replica, my second or third of those, none of which functioned well so I disposed of them. Sad, too, because PSA (Precision Small Arms as noted above) guns were stunning.

And then there is my Seecamp .32 ACP that I fired so long ago I barely recall doing it but it needs range time because I always think about carrying it.

And then there are my derringers and NAA Mini-revolver (it's so cute sitting in its velvet box like a piece of jewelry). The Mini is just too hard to shoot and so is the Remington .41 caliber derringer (which might be worth so much money that I might sell it).

The black one is unfired NIB but the white one has been carried in that concealment holster for years (NFA AOW tax stamped) in the pocket of my robe. ;)

Mauser 1914 .32 (don't know if you can really call this a mouse gun)

My wife’s uncle has a nice little Mauser like that one. His dad brought it home from WWII.He says he’ll sell it to me one day when he’s ready. He did sell me his o1916 DMC German Luger with all matching numbers. He bought it a his towns pawnshop after looking at it everyday after school. Finally his dad went with him and signed the paperwork for him. Cost him$25. They also had an Artillery model with the long barrel.I guess I need to ask him about the Mauser again so he doesn’t forget. He’s getting up in age.

The .25 ACP is a fine candidate for reloading. At 1.5 grs. of powder a pop, I will not be experiencing a powder shortage any time soon. No bullets available? A squashed pellet of buckshot works just fine. Save the hard jacketed bullets (the ones that actually DO penetrate) for serious use. I don't recall ever wearing out a piece of brass. A win/win scenario!
