I saw these online in 2018 and always wanted to try one but taurus said they had no plans to import them i was surprised to see them recently at a rural king of all places and only for 249.00

I have one, and for once I was an early adopter and paid about $400. I was supposed to finally go and shoot it last week, but stuff happened. Maybe next week.

My only issue was that it was delivered without the medium backstrap, but two of the medium/small pieces. Inquiries to Taurus went unanswered, no surprise as these are contract overrun guns from another country. :(

From what i read they will not be importing them after these sell out
I really wanted to get the compact version but apparently it's not going to happen.

IIRC, they were approved and purchased for the Phillipines Nat'l Police.

Indeed, this pistol is built like a brick outhouse even though it has a polymer frame. It will be interesting to compare its recoil characteristic with other polymer pistols that weigh less. Then there is the modified Browning action with the locking surface behind the ejection port. Some may not like the closed slide design, but the extractor is huge, so there is only one way the empties are going.

I compared the ts9 against a shield plus a m&p 3.6 2.0 .40 and a Glock 23
The ts9 has virtually no recoil imho it's very easy to keep on target it feels to me like a ported pistol.

At 18yds i consider the ts9 to be very accurate it just fits my hands great and has a good trigger.

You didn't attach the picture properly. Range target looks great.

I cannot figure out this forum I'm on several xenforo? type forums and can easily post
Plus I'm on my phone that could be the issue.

Unless you use a picture hosting site, you have to use the "Manage Attachments" area below the message box. "Insert Image" here requires a URL to work, and there is no 'Drag and drop' facility on this forum.

I always bashed Taurus and was a S&W snob regarding revolvers. Not so much anymore.

Taurus replaced my model 85 with a new 856 at no cost to me. I doubt S&W would do that as they have no "Limited Lifetime Warranty". At least I've never heard of anyone getting a revolver replaced by S&W.

I think Taurus has caught up to S&W quality and has a better warranty to boot. I have a newer 625 to compare it with.

You can't rest on your laurels.

I've had most brands of firearms since the 1970s i rarely needed
Customer service but when i did it has been exceptional with smith and wesson****ger,CZ
And Springfield armory.
my early loaded 1911 made in brazil the 2 piece swagged barrel came apart and they paid shipping to and from and put a match barrel in for free.
I lost a little rear spring from a 4506 adjustable sight smith sent me a box of hundreds of little springs to replace any they offered lol
Also smith sent me free guiderods for my 1.0 amd 2.0
M&P pistols when they had a lot of rounds through them.
The worst was sig sauer my friend bought a new to the market 229 .40
It simply wasn't chamber cut correctly
I had to handload ammo very short to try it out.
No type of ammunition would chamber in it.
After months of back and forth I was dealing with sig for him
sig wanted stupid money to ship it back and forth
Like 100.00
I finally found a gunsmith with a .40 chamber reamer.
He cut it for free and it was flawless after that.
This was in the 90s I'm not saying sig is still bad to deal with.
I bought a new glock 22:and oddly the magazine spring snapp when i was loading it and the recoil assembly had a piece broke off of the plastic guiderod
Called glock they denied everything i said and told me i wanted to rip them off free spring's?
Over the year's
In the taurus's i've had a pt 100 afs .40 that was excellent in build and accuracy.
A couple of .357 revolvers that were very good shooter's
g3 3 g3cs a g2c 2 tx .22s 2 tx.22c 2 gx4s which i had many thousands of rounds through all of them
No issues at all never needed customer service.

Finally got to shoot with mine this week, along with four other guns I'd not fired before. I found the TS 9 to be accurate with mild recoil. I did have a habit of stringing my shots vertically, probably trying to shoot too fast with a new gun. I'm not posting target pictures because the only targets they had at the range were goofy leftovers from Halloween.

RK dropped the price to $224. That was enough to push me off the fence and place an order.

At that price I'd get another one if I was still working. Money is going to other projects just now. :(

I think you'll like it. The recoil impulse is definitely 'different', and it made light of shooting S&B 124 gr FMJ, a round often considered as NATO loaded, even though it doesn't say so.
