Colt Defender in 45, 40, and 9mm. I have all three. I think they are all good. The 45acp is my EDC and I like it a lot. Very accurate, easy to handle and the recoil is not bad at all. I carry 185 Remington Bonded Brass Jacket HP's because they proved to be the most accurate. I also have a 4513 TSW and a Shorty 45 PC pistol and they might also be in that class. The 4513TSW is not accurate enough to be a EDC. The PC Shorty is but it is a lot larger than the Colt Defender. For years I carried a LW commander in 45ACP. I still have it and still like it but the Defender is smaller and lighter. You give up some velocity and performance with a 3" barrel instead of the 4.25" but at the ranges a EDC weapon would be used, I'm not particularly worried.

If you meant "Micro" 1911 then yes, I carried a Springfield Armory Lightweight Micro Compact (3 inch) 1911 in .45 ACP for 17 years post retirement. I carried the Remington 185gr Golden Sabres because they proved to be 100% reliable and they were also the most accurate at the time of my testing (2006). I loved that little gun and if I was awake, that little 1911 was on my side. The little 1911 was one of the most natural pointing pistols I have ever handled. I liked the Micro enough that when Springfield discontinued my model in favor of the same gun with a stupid tactical rail, I bought a 2nd plain Micro when I found one on GB. With the Wilson Combat Officers Model 7rd magazine +1 in the chamber I had 8 rounds of .45 ACP on tap with the Micro.
The biggest issue with the Micro .45 ACP is to replace the recoil spring assembly fairly regularly (I do it at about the 1000rd mark) and they are only available thru Springfield Armory.

Only last July I replaced my EDC Micro with a S&W CSX 9mm after running the CSX thru its paces. The CSX is slightly smaller overall, the CSX is lighter, even fully loaded than my Micro .45 and with the very slightly extended 12 round magazine in place, I have 12+1 rounds of 124gr Federal HST immediately on tap. The CSX also points very naturally for me and it feels and shoots a lot like my 2nd favorite firearm of all time, a Browning Hi Power.

I bought a Micro Compact when I was in college. I carried it everywhere and it shot like a laser for me. I don't recall why, but I ended up going back to my trusty Colt Enhanced Commander. I sold the Micro back to the same shop that I bought it from and got what I paid for it. It was really a neat gun and reliable to boot!

Had the first all steel SA 3 incher. Used it for practice, and carried another lightweight brand. Only pistol ever owned that the front bottom of the slide actually fractured off. Till then it was good, although imo SA should have paid better attention to what worked in other brands 3 inchers.

I have an older (1996) Springfield Ultra-Compact in .45. But I never carry it. Frankly, the gun was a PITA. It works fine now, but it took about two years of tweaking and tuning off and on to get it reliable. JMHO, but once a 1911 barrel gets shorter than 4" you're just asking for trouble.
I don't care a whole lot for the short grip either. Makes the gun harder to control for me.
I much prefer the the standard Commander size for carry and the micro 1911s really aren't that much smaller.

I have 3 SA 1911 style pistols. They are all solid guns, but none of them compare to this one. Of course the other pistols aren't custom shop guns.
