For those that want a PC Carbine but don't want a 9mm Ruger has a new model. A good review in Rifle magazine Jan 25 #338 by Brian Pearce. Available in 10mm .45 ACP and 5.7x28mm. Looks like a new design with a folding stock which many seem to want. Picatinny rail, folding sights, retail $1049.

I wonder how much heavier it could be made. Mine is a lot of fun but basically a range gun due to it's weight. They could remove 24 oz and still have it capable for 10 mm.

I've looked at a few 45acp carbines, but the prices were a lot more than I was willing to pay. This one looks like a great option, although I wish Ruger would make the PC carbine in 45acp. I prefer that configuration to that of the LC.

.45acp

I have the .45acp version and I love it. The weight doesn't really bother me, as i only bought it to be a range toy/suppressor host(whenever I finally buy one). Haven't had any hiccups in about 500 rounds. I've run everything from range fodder, up to +P underwood extreme defender and this thing eats it all. The only thing that I am not a big fan of is how short the grip is. Other than that, no complaints. Oh, and if you have the 10mm or .45acp version, you can order magazine extensions from kriss that they use in the vector. Not sure about the 10mm, but that brings capacity up the 30rds for the .45.

If you like fun, I would highly recommend the LC Carbine.

Looks like $829 actual retail (Cabelas). But I agree. I too prefer the PC format. I have an old original Police Carbine in 9mm. Complete with optional ghost ring sight.
