Well to say the least it not a good show anymore. as far as I could tell it has turned to a get your Beef Jerky here kinda place. Some Deals on refinished Smiths and unscrupulous dealers. I went about 10 yrs ago and all I saw was wall to wall Smiths, Colts, Winchesters you name it. It was awesome. Now just ..... eh.

I got home late and was too tired to write this up last night to save some people from going. Parking $15 bucks $30 for 2 tickets so $45 total just to get in the door! then only to find mostly shooters or way overpriced revolvers. Saw a model 24-3 4" for $3000.00 usd. with an ok box no tools or paperwork. I do get all the tricks sellers use so now need to re hash. I made a few offers to see if my assumption were correct. They were still no deals.

Sorry to bring this topic up again Hoping to save a few people some money for the future.

I haven’t been to the Louisville show in years and am sorry to read that it isn’t what it used to be (what show is?). I’ve always held out hope for the “bigger shows” as the smaller local ones have been pretty bad for a long time, at least around here.

I haven’t been to that show in several years. Instead, I opt to go the “Show of Shows” on the preceding Friday. A militaria show isn’t the best place to shop for vintage S&Ws, but sometimes you’ll find a lone revolver at a table full of Lugers and daggers. I’ve walked away with a nice gun each of the last two years.

I came home empty-handed last Friday, but you can’t win them all. On a positive note, I actually found a good parking space this year. Lord knows it was expensive enough.

Lordy, I can only imagine what the shows are like now days. I stopped going to Gun Day in Louisville over 25 years ago because it was getting bad!

I do miss a good jerky deal! The shows that I have been ,Ohio and Michigan, don't have it. Did pick up a new Colt Commander, 45 at the last Mi. show that attended. Bob

Ahh, the old days, alternating Rupp arena to the convention center. 25+ years ago…there was good stuff there.
