Hi all fans of the American SIG Sauer P210!

Looks that there is a new Carry model out, possibly a Lipsey's custom run as it's listed there. Dual tone looks, with what looks hard chromed trigger and hammer, and most interestingly, says *steel frame* unlike the other two P210 Carry models release before it (light Aluminum frames). Night sights, etc. Model: 210CA-9-TSS.

Anyone else liking these Carry models?

Here's my Custom Center (210CA-9-CW) and a stock photo of the new duo tone (210CA-9-TSS).

I have an early P210 Carry model with aluminum frame and like it a lot. I don't know if I would like it as well with a steel frame though, but I do like the two-tone finish. Prices seem to be all over the board on this model. A lot of places that advertise this model are showing out of stock. Not surprising.

I'd like the idea of the alloy frame on the carry custom, but I know I can't afford it.

Very nice

Impressive, bc1023, as everything else I saw shared from your amazing collection. I only have another American one myself. Here are few more angles with my Custom Carry with its heavier sibling. Me too I do prefer them having steel frames, but my light Custom is surprisingly nice, and I like it a lot. Hopefully soon I will have a third, one of these duo tones, and it will be steel frame (but not holding breath on that)

Interesting bit about steel and aluminum frames. I have a P210 Target and love it. Bud's has a good price right now so I just ordered a P210 Carry Two Tone. Presumably it will also be steel. Online sources indicate both models are steel framed, but it wouldn't be the first time the 'net was wrong.

I'm not a fan of the G10 grips on the Two Tone, so I went shopping on Hougue's site. They offer different SKU's for steel and aluminum frames. Clearly, there's a difference in the frames, but what is it? Has anyone compared aluminum vs. steel frames to identify the physical differences?

Anxiously awaiting your report when it comes in.

I noticed another discussion about Two Tone Carry being described as having steel frames but some in the know said that was a mistake and it uses the same aluminum frame as other Carry models.

A followup to my post above on 18 April. I picked up my new P210 Two Tone today and set out to compare it to my P210 Target. Right off, the guns feel significantly different. To be expected I suppose, but the Two Tone feels distinctly "petite" in comparison to the Target. The grips are svelte and without a palmswell. The shorter barrel and lighter frame contribute.

* Frame material: The Two Tone is aluminum. A magnet sticks to the Target, but not the Two Tone.
* Weight with an empty mag: The Two Tone is 1.8 lbs. The Target is 2.4 lbs.
* Trigger pull: Two Tone is 4 3/4 lbs to 5 lbs. The Target is consistently 3 lbs. Of course the Two Tone is new and my Target has around 750 rounds through it.
* The grip frames are indeed different. I can't swap grips between the two guns. Both pairs of grips are marked Hogue inside, so one would assume they know their stuff. It follows that the Hogue site shows different SKUs for aluminum and steel grips. They are not interchangeable.

I'm looking forward to shooting the new gun. The Target is a favorite. While the Two Tone will be a different animal, I have some high hopes for it.

Please disregard my scratched up bench surface! It's ummm . . . . "scruffy."

I have Swiss, German, and American P210’s and love them all. I had a Carry model and sold it. Some pistols just need steel frames, in my opinion. To each their own, of course.

Regarding country of origin, how would you describe the similarities and differences among them? Is each country building them now, or, did production move over time from country to country?

The P210 was never built in more than one country at a time. Currently, all Sig production is in America.

My favorite P210 models are the German Super Targets. I shoot my American model the most, due to the rising value of the others. Mechanical accuracy is about the same.
