On Saturday the 15th I electronically submitted my Trust application to ATF for a suppressor. I just received notification of approval. Assuming they don't work weekends, that's only 2 days for approval! I heard horror stories about how long approval can take, but they sure turned it out fast for me...excellent service on their behalf.

Yes, the ATF approval turnaround time has greatly improved. I had a similar experience when I purchased my Silencerco Omega 300 in January...my form was electronically submitted from my local gun shop on Thursday and I received my ATF approval by email early Tuesday morning. Hopefully Trump won't cut too many ATF jobs and slow this whole process down!

I attributed mine to a re-focus from working against us to working with us...just trying to be optimistic.

Yep, the NFA Branch must be working weekends to justify their existence because I just received an approved SBR form 1 (individual) in 16 days on a Sunday morning.

My last suppressor was 14 days, eFile Trust, submitted end of February 2025.

The previous suppressor eFile Trust submitted July 2023 took 8 months.

It's a huge improvement, but NFA approvals today (especially if you already have previous stamps) should be instant, just like with firearms, unless your prints are not on file. Really, the NFA is unconstitutional on it's face, so they should be over the counter and not taxed at all.
